Glasgow headlines 27 February: Parents furious after disappointing Willy Wonka event

Police were called to a Willy Wonka ‘immersive experience’ event with parents demanding refunds.

It was advertised as a ‘journey filled with wondrous creations and enchanting surprises at every turn’ yet one visitor complained it was no more than ‘an abandoned, empty warehouse’.

The event took place at Box Hub with tickets costing up to £35, being organised by House of the Illuminati.

Next up, reports have revealed that Glasgow City Council is considering cutting 450 teaching posts in a bid to save over £27 million over a three year period.

It was previously reported that the SNP were planning to cut 172 posts triggering a community backlash, while the actual figure is more than double.

And finally, a new chicken shop is set to open in the city centre, taking over the former Bing Bang Bosh site that was open for less than a year.

Yum Yum Chicken is set to open while the business said they would start looking for staff soon.
