00:03 The next guy on this list is Luis Araiz, who flirted with 400 last year, and
00:06 that's favorite guys.
00:07 But the speed isn't quite the same as Ronald Acuna, 70 less stolen bases,
00:11 just in case you're keeping score at home.
00:14 Last year, he had 203 hits for the Marlins.
00:17 Again, flirting with 400 is not something you see very often in Major League
00:20 Baseball.
00:21 He did fall eventually well shy of 400, ended up at 354, still pretty good.
00:27 He did win the batting title last year.
00:29 He beat out Acuna's 337, but Araiz is going as player 124.
00:34 Now, when it comes to Luis Araiz, here's the thing.
00:36 This is a player that doesn't score a ton of runs for
00:39 the amount of times he's on base with all these hits and all the contact he made.
00:43 He doesn't give you stolen bases, and his power is below league average.
00:47 He's gonna hit somewhere around nine, ten home runs.
00:50 So when you're trying to evaluate this player, in season long roto to me,
00:53 Araiz is a player that when you're trying to boost up your batting average,
00:57 he's a good pick in this 125 range.
00:59 But if you're looking for complete players, I think it's a little bit tougher.
01:03 I think you're talking about looking at some of the other names.
01:06 You've got guys like Lane Thomas, who had better overall productivity.
01:10 You've got some guys in there that are gonna have more power,
01:12 like for instance, guys like Spencer Torkelson.
01:15 So, well, pretty much everyone.
01:18 But I think that's the thing where you're starting to evaluate Araiz as a fantasy
01:22 player.
01:22 It becomes, again, he becomes more of a batting average Marvel.
01:26 In head to head points, those hits pile up and it does help you.
01:30 But I think sometimes those season long rotos,
01:32 Araiz is a player that's slightly overvalued here at the ADP of 124.
01:36 But what do you like about the odds here, if anything, plus 800?
01:40 Pretty close to Acuna, but to me, Acuna is the far better wager.
01:44 Do you agree or disagree?
01:47 >> Yeah, I remember the conversation, regular season hit leader
01:51 across major league baseball.
01:53 So what do we need?
01:55 We need a guy at the top of the order.
01:56 Great, there he is.
01:57 Guy with the speed to get those extra little infield hits.
02:00 We just discussed that Araiz does not have that where Acuna does.
02:03 Now, here's the thing, a hit is a hit is a hit.
02:07 Tim Anderson is on this team and Jazz Chisholm is on this team as well.
02:10 I can definitely see some type of iteration, or some type of lineup juggling
02:15 goes on, or some things happen here or there.
02:17 So Araiz is volatile.
02:19 Is he the one guy that you would want in a situation?
02:23 Yeah, he's a throwback.
02:25 He's Tony Gwynn, Wade Boggs-esque for our older viewers.
02:30 But to the point, Acuna brings more tools.
02:32 Remember what the wager is.
02:34 Wager is regular season hit leader.
02:36 Hits, hits, hits, hits, hits.
02:38 Acuna's gonna have more than Araiz.
