00:00 Gentlemen you had your instructions earlier so you both know what I expect a clean championship
00:08 fight obey my commands and protect yourself at all times as we discussed punches on this
00:15 belt line are not considered low good luck to both of you.
00:20 Takuma Inoue defending his WBA bantamweight championship belt for the first time his goal
00:28 to be undisputed in the weight division just like his older brother Naoya Inoue to do so
00:33 he has to get through Jerwin Ancajas the challenger and former champion who's moved up in weight
00:40 now feels comfortable at this weight we get you underway here round one Karen Batia on
00:46 the call joined by former world champion Chris Algieri Takuma Inoue the champion in the white
00:52 and black trunks Jerwin Ancajas the challenger in the red and white trunks and as we mentioned
01:00 Ancajas is moving up in weight yet he looks like the bigger man he's got taller he's got
01:04 a longer reach and he's filled in nicely for the weight as opposed to the bigger guy.
01:13 There's that nice footwork from Inoue very explosive as he closes the gap very nice in
01:19 and out movement on display here.
01:29 Nice right hand there landed for Inoue good counter punching ability on display.
01:37 We mentioned Ancajas moving up in weight he felt like he was sucked down at 115 pounds
01:41 wanted to make a change and according to their camp he feels much more comfortable at this
01:46 weight class.
01:50 Physically he looks stronger he looks fuller notice Inoue we've got a southpaw in Ancajas
01:59 orthodox and Takuma doing a great job controlling the center of the ring very good moves against
02:08 the southpaw who's gonna be on the outside trying to score with those left hands but
02:15 Inoue giving a lot of good head movement and staying in control of that center of the ring.
02:20 Takuma Inoue a very measured and careful approach here in round one standing his ground using
02:29 the jab and his left hand as that range finder so far in this round one.
02:38 Ancajas a little bit twitchy explosive looking to land those big shots throwing the jab down
02:48 low the left hand up high so far Inoue has been very adept at just getting out of the
02:56 way of those left hands.
02:59 We've seen Ancajas unload with the left hand two or three times here in round one and it
03:06 seems like Takuma Inoue's game plan is to stay back and counter.
03:11 Yeah he's getting his head off line and coming right back with two three punches at a time
03:15 which is good he's not a big puncher but he does have explosiveness and physical strength
03:22 that combined with a good engine is how Inoue tends to take his opponents deep and try and
03:29 drown them.
03:30 I saw it again there a moment ago left hand by Ancajas just misses and then Takuma Inoue
03:37 counters with some quick left and right hands.
03:45 Oh what's up you watching the game or maybe the one later.
04:00 Put a little bit of GM action on it now any game becomes the game.
04:04 When you got overs and unders you end it every time they throw the ball kick the ball dribble
04:09 the ball maybe it's not even a ball.
04:12 Who needs a ball now that Betts got you watching every inning half round period set hold a
04:17 lap right from the edge of your seat.
04:28 For buildings with the right hand that lands a little short landed good didn't land super
04:33 solid but well placed good timing hit it well behind that jet.
04:40 Round two underway from our WBA championship fight our main event here from the Ryogoku
04:48 arena the national sumo arena in Tokyo Japan.
04:54 And right away again we see Gerwin Ancajas pick up where he left off and try to land
04:59 that big left hand.
05:00 Yeah but Inoue showing really nice smooth head movement and upper body rhythm.
05:05 Also he's got that great first step he's very explosive off that step whether in or out
05:12 closing that distance very explosively there but still coming up short with the punches.
05:17 And we mentioned Takuma Inoue has been boxing since he was four years old and if you look
05:22 at him now there's there's definitely a focus there right a concentration and that's something
05:26 that you develop muscle memory that you develop throughout the years.
05:34 Anyways looking to land that check left hook over the top as Ancajas throws the straight
05:41 left hand it's a good move but it's a dangerous one because it does put your head on the line
05:45 for that left hook you got to make sure that you're dipping your head nicely to get that
05:48 left hook over the top.
05:58 And so far we're seeing both men positioning and trying to land that that backhand the
06:03 left hand for Ancajas the right hand for Inoue both men trying to set that up.
06:10 The dip left hook again from Inoue just coming up short.
06:31 Like that upper body rhythm and movement that Inoue is using.
06:36 His defense is sharp he hasn't been able to put his hands together to be offensive against
06:42 Ancajas yet.
06:43 Coming up on 45 seconds to go in round two it's been a tactical fight so far a battle
06:55 of positioning and counter punching for both Inoue and Ancajas.
07:02 Good body work there from Ancajas got tied up a little bit upstairs but that boost with
07:06 both hands to the body of Inoue.
07:15 Both guys tentative here in round two.
07:17 Nobody wants to make a mistake very very tactical battle here early on.
07:26 Very tactical a very even matchup so far in our championship fight here.
07:39 Ancajas raises his hand there the right hand lead was able to land on Inoue in the closing
07:46 moments of round one around two.
07:50 Nice timing shot there from Inoue as Ancajas went for the jab down low.
07:55 Inoue gets his head off line drops a chopping right hand.
07:58 One of the better punches landed from either man and there we see a straight left hand
08:03 down to the body from Ancajas that really landed on the shoulder just pushed Inoue back.
08:07 Inoue's defense has been very sharp these first two rounds.
08:10 And we see Jerwin Ancajas here and it's been a long road to get here very humble beginnings.
08:16 Ancajas trains at a place called survival camp and in the early days Ancajas would actually
08:24 sleep in the ring that he was training in during the days.
08:27 Now that's changed as he's gotten more recognition in his career but very humble beginnings for
08:32 Jerwin Ancajas to reach this point.
08:35 It's a common story for a lot of fighters from the Philippines.
08:40 Nobody's coming from means who come out of the Philippines looking to box.
08:43 I mean look at Manny Pacquiao the great the legend Manny Pacquiao and a lot of fighters
08:48 follow in his footsteps because of that.
08:56 Ancajas is frantic when he gets close enough to Inoue but hasn't been able to put any hands
09:06 on him yet.
09:09 We saw Takuma Inoue open up there a little bit more not waiting on Ancajas but instead
09:17 starting his own offense.
09:24 Inoue is very subtle with the shots that he lands.
09:27 He landed a nice jab over the top as Ancajas came in.
09:34 Changes levels nicely gets his head off line.
09:37 Fundamentally very very sound work from Takuma so far.
09:43 And we've been speaking about it tonight Chris.
09:51 That means you have to do other things in the ring and we're seeing that here tonight.
09:55 A careful measured approach good counter punching being slick good head movement.
10:00 We're seeing those things from Takuma Inoue.
10:01 Yeah I mean he does a lot of things really well.
10:04 I think he actually does every aspect of the sport really well.
10:06 He's just not a puncher like his brother.
10:08 His brother does these well also.
10:10 He just doesn't need to do it as much because he's got such lights out power.
10:15 But Takuma is very very well schooled and you can see that.
10:19 Very well conditioned good footwork good head movement counters at the right time places
10:23 his punches well.
10:26 Oh nice big right hand there rocked Ancajas and another by Inoue.
10:42 Beautifully timed shot as Ancajas came in and then nice follow up as well.
10:49 Oh there's that check hook I was talking about that left hook over the top as Ancajas lets
10:54 go with that left hand.
10:56 Takuma Inoue seemingly finding his timing at the end of round three.
11:02 Two right hands landed and then a left hand that definitely caught the attention of Jerwin
11:10 Ancajas.
11:11 Big right hand there for Inoue.
11:12 That rocked Ancajas didn't see the punch coming.
11:13 You see the formula for Takuma what their game plan was.
11:24 Nice straight ahead hands left hooks over the top.
11:27 Be deceptive on your offense on the way in.
11:30 Good defense make Ancajas reach and make him pay.
11:45 We're building a better postal service all parts working in sync to move your business
12:01 forward for more value more reliability and more on time deliveries.
12:06 The United States Postal Service built for how you business.
12:10 Detour?
12:16 Yeah.
12:21 School isn't going to be easy.
12:22 I know.
12:23 But I've been taught.
12:24 Show him something show him something is it is there a chance that he was getting too
12:31 aggressive there and lending himself to Inoue's game plan.
12:34 Oh absolutely I mean he was he was overthrowing the punches you know he was missing early
12:38 on because of that very quick head movement upper body rhythm that Takuma was showing
12:43 and then Ancajas was trying to get over that front foot and that's why he ran into that
12:46 shot.
12:47 Also that's why the shot hurt him.
12:48 If you hit on collision you're going to get hit harder even if the guy is not a big puncher.
12:56 Round four underway in our WBA bantamweight championship fight.
13:01 Takuma Inoue looking to build off of the momentum in round three.
13:07 Notice the battle of the footwork.
13:08 Takuma Inoue consistently is the man with the lead foot on the outside.
13:12 That's where you want to be against the southpaw.
13:15 Win that lead foot battle.
13:16 Takuma is usually the one who has that foot on the outside so consistently he's winning
13:24 that.
13:25 Watch your hands.
13:28 Beautiful combinations there on the inside from Inoue.
13:36 It seems like at least so far Inoue may have the speed advantage.
13:39 Oh absolutely.
13:40 Ancajas looks to be lumbering forward.
13:43 He's not closing the distance with any kind of explosiveness and even when he does get
13:46 inside he seems to freeze a bit.
13:49 One because of the good head movement of Takuma but also the hand speed like you mentioned.
13:56 Big swing and a miss from Ancajas.
14:01 Beautiful right uppercuts on the inside for Inoue and you mentioned it moments ago Inoue
14:07 threw and then was able to get out of range.
14:09 Yeah Ancajas is just too slow with his feet.
14:14 And more and more you're seeing Takuma be more comfortable on the inside as he's realizing
14:20 the speed differential.
14:24 Both fighters trading body shots.
14:27 Right hand gets through for Ancajas.
14:29 Big right hook from Ancajas.
14:31 Best punch of the fight so far for him.
14:34 And here comes Jerwin Ancajas.
14:39 Left hand to the body, right hand upstairs.
14:42 Look at the size difference man.
14:46 Ancajas is a lot bigger.
14:49 Takuma is feeling comfortable to stay on the inside and change.
14:53 Power though of Ancajas is coming through.
15:00 Lending some of these big shots on the inside.
15:02 I think Takuma will be better served fighting at that middle distance where he's able to
15:07 use that head movement, that speed and that counter punching rather than exchanging with
15:11 the bigger man on the inside.
15:13 Inoue trading toe to toe with Ancajas.
15:16 Inoue did land some quick check left hooks there in those exchanges.
15:22 But certainly Ancajas having more success at this distance.
15:27 This whole card has been the story of body work.
15:30 A lot of well-squared Japanese fighters that are not forgetting the body.
15:38 Excellent round.
15:39 Good back and forth exchanges.
15:40 Some great body work from both men there.
15:43 Chris, let's talk about the difference there in Jerwin Ancajas.
15:47 We see it here fighting on the inside.
15:49 At the beginning of the fight he was trying to land the big left handed distance.
15:52 Now he's moving closer and he's had success as we're seeing here from that distance.
15:57 I think it's more Takuma actually the reason that this fight moved to the inside here.
16:02 He was feeling comfortable with his hand speed, his head movement.
16:05 He stayed on the inside I think longer than he needed to because he got hit with some
16:08 big shots that were completely unnecessary.
16:10 It's still early in the fight.
16:11 I think he can go back to boxing from the outside, use that speed, use those counter
16:15 punches, and then as he gets more comfortable and starts to break Ancajas down, then he
16:20 can move to the inside and look to exchange.
16:22 A little bit early for Maite to be exchanging with the bigger man, Ancajas.
16:35 Japanese is pretty rusty, but I would assume that Shingo, his trainer and father was telling
16:40 him something similar.
16:43 We'll see if Inoue makes adjustments here and fights at the distance he was having success
16:50 at in the first three rounds.
16:54 He's got such phenomenal footwork, he's able to explode in and out and making Ancajas reach
16:59 and run into counter punches.
17:00 He was doing that really well in round three, but round four he chose to stay on the inside
17:06 and exchange with Ancajas.
17:07 He got hit with some big punches himself.
17:10 There was a great quick combination by Inoue and then moved out of the way, out of range
17:15 from Ancajas.
17:16 We've been seeing that a lot tonight.
17:18 Ancajas coming up short with some of these counter punches.
17:21 Inoue is very good at letting his hands go and then slip sliding his way out, just like
17:27 this.
17:29 Putting it all together.
17:30 If you look at the movement of Inoue, this is very different than round four.
17:36 I'm guessing that was the instructions from his father and trainer Shingo is use your
17:40 movement because we're not seeing the same Inoue that we saw just a round ago.
17:45 Yeah, from what I've seen from the training of Shingo, he really does train hit and don't
17:50 be hit.
17:51 No reason to stand in there and trade with a guy, especially if you're getting touched
17:55 up and he's bigger.
17:56 Takuma has the obvious speed advantage and the big clash of heads there.
18:07 Halfway through this round five, Takuma Inoue, the champion, back to working at distance.
18:17 We also have to give credit to Jermin Ancajas for coming forward for working the body.
18:26 There's a reason he defended his championship belt nine times.
18:29 That's just speaks to his toughness and his ability to make adjustments in fight.
18:33 A ton of experience, former champion, moved up in weight, coming to challenge the champion
18:40 in his home turf.
18:44 Coming to bring it, wants to fight.
18:45 They finish up the round, so they're exchanging.
18:46 They're both smiling, going back to the corner.
18:47 You got two warriors here in the ring tonight.
18:51 Absolutely.
18:52 A massive right hand there got through for Takuma Inoue.
18:57 And another, this time a shorter right hand to the head.
19:01 Yeah, he's doing a great job fighting at this middle distance, picking off Ancajas, who's
19:05 just too slow, too slow footed, too obvious with what he's coming with offensively.
19:10 Takuma has the ability to make him miss and make him pay for it.
19:19 But let's see if he can keep it up.
19:20 Because Ancajas is putting pressure, coming forward.
19:23 And more and more you see Takuma taking those moments to exchange and get flat footed.
19:29 Which is Ancajas' best chance.
19:35 Yes!
19:55 BetMGM is for everyone that loves sports betting.
19:58 Everyone but Tom Brady.
20:00 Wait, what?
20:01 You've won too much, Tommy.
20:02 Let others play.
20:03 So I'm in if I'm not Tom Brady?
20:04 You're in.
20:05 Now dog me.
20:06 What if I used to babysit Tom Brady and he was a little troublemaker?
20:09 No one likes a snitch.
20:10 But you're in.
20:11 What if I'm the Tom Brady of spreadsheets?
20:13 You're in.
20:14 What if I'm Tim Birdie, seven time pool champion?
20:16 The dress up's not helping, Tommy.
20:17 It's Illinois.
20:18 Hey, Tom.
20:19 Hi, Wayne Gretzky.
20:20 I thought it would be bigger.
20:22 Download BetMGM.
20:23 Accept you, Tom.
20:24 You've won enough.
20:27 We're building a better postal service.
20:29 Tom!
20:30 Round six.
20:37 Round six here underway.
20:39 The WBA championship taking place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Arena, the national sumo arena in
20:47 Tokyo, Japan.
20:49 Takuma Inoue in the white and black trunks.
20:53 Jerwin Ankahas, the challenger, in the red and white trunks.
21:21 And right now we're seeing the fight play out at the distance that it seemed like Takuma
21:25 Inoue was more comfortable at.
21:28 So Chris, would you recommend Jerwin Ankahas trying to close the distance like he did right
21:32 there?
21:33 I mean, he is.
21:34 But the problem with that is that he overextends himself at times and runs into the counter
21:37 shots, the sharp counter shots of Takuma.
21:40 So he's got to close the distance.
21:42 He's got to cut off the ring.
21:44 He's got to slowly eke his way into position.
21:47 He has the longer arms.
21:48 He needs to use them.
21:54 He's jamming at the wrong distance.
21:55 He's not closing the distance.
21:56 He's not bringing his back foot up.
21:58 So he's staying right at that middle range where the speed advantage of Inoue is obvious.
22:09 Nice feint there from Takuma.
22:10 And that's the thing.
22:11 The fundamentals of Takuma Inoue are fantastic.
22:12 He's got the footwork, the in and out, the jabs, the counters.
22:21 Now he's using feints.
22:24 Two lightning fast right hands to the head of Ankahas by Inoue.
22:31 Ankahas making an adjustment now, throwing that straight left hand to the body.
22:36 And that's a smart move.
22:37 He's been having a lot of trouble getting to the head of Takuma all night long.
22:51 What else is important here?
22:52 At this range, Inoue is not wasting energy wrestling with the bigger Ankahas.
22:58 On the inside, you can see Ankahas is starting to use his will, his body weight, his size
23:04 to grab and to lean on Takuma.
23:07 But at that middle range, Takuma has more time to wrestle.
23:09 He has more distance.
23:10 He doesn't have to waste energy wrestling like this.
23:14 Nice feint again.
23:19 Good body shot from Ankahas on the inside.
23:28 It seems like Ankahas just needs to make this rough because he's getting picked apart on
23:35 the outside.
23:36 End of round six.
23:39 Takuma Inoue boxing, moving, making it difficult for Jerwin Ankahas.
23:46 And Chris, to your point, Ankahas' best bet might be trying to make it an ugly fight,
23:52 trying to figure out creative ways to get on the inside.
23:55 That's easier said than done when you have the speed of Inoue coming back at you.
23:59 Yeah, like I said, I think he needs to inch his way forward, get behind that lead, Sal
24:04 Pau jab.
24:05 And honestly, he might have to take a few shots to get on the inside.
24:08 But once he's there, he's got to work.
24:10 He's got to make it physical.
24:11 He's got to be aggressive.
24:12 He's got to bang the body the way he had some success in that last round.
24:15 Yeah, and he can be pretty for Ankahas.
24:18 When you got the slow feet, you got to make it ugly.
24:40 Round seven underway here.
24:43 Takuma Inoue, his first defense, the WBA bantamweight championship belt, a belt that
24:51 was formerly held by his older brother, Naoya Inoue.
24:55 Takuma's goal, he said, is to become undisputed in this weight class following the footsteps
25:00 of his brother, Naoya.
25:01 That's one thing about Takuma that he's shown in past fights.
25:02 His conditioning is fantastic.
25:03 Tends to come on strong late.
25:04 Good body work here on the inside.
25:24 And so far in round seven, it does seem like Ankahas is having more success trying to cut
25:29 off the ring, Chris.
25:30 Yeah, he's doing well closing the distance here.
25:32 He's not just chasing Inoue.
25:35 Inoue, a little less slippery than he was a few rounds ago.
25:39 And again, choosing the stand and fight and wrestle on the inside.
25:43 This is beneficial for Ankahas.
25:44 This is where he wants the fight to happen.
25:47 You can just see the feet, though.
25:50 Such a difference.
25:51 Ankahas lumbers forward.
25:52 Inoue has those explosive steps in and out.
25:53 We mentioned the battle for outside foot positioning.
26:05 We know Ankahas, one thing he wants to do is get on the inside.
26:08 Would you also recommend, Chris, him trying to get on the outside foot positioning?
26:11 Oh, absolutely.
26:12 Because you need to have your opponent between your feet so you can generate the most power.
26:17 That's within your punching range.
26:19 It's very difficult to punch with power outside of your foot.
26:22 Foot positioning there.
26:23 You've got to keep the man in between your feet.
26:24 So now you're starting to see Ankahas stepping to the outside.
26:25 You want to be at least head up with that front foot, if not all the way on the outside.
26:26 Good exchanges here from Ankahas.
26:27 He's getting the better of these.
26:28 Both men trading hooks, working the body.
26:48 Very competitive back and forth round seven.
26:50 And Chris, this is what we're talking about.
26:52 It seems to be more competitive when they're fighting at this close range, this phone booth
26:56 type fight.
26:57 Absolutely.
26:58 I mean, it's more competitive.
26:59 It's more compelling.
27:00 I'm sure the people at home are enjoying it more.
27:01 I mean, I like the stuff from the outside more, the high boxing IQ that Inoue is showing,
27:08 but this is fun too.
27:17 And so there has to be a reason that Takuma Inoue is choosing to fight like that.
27:21 And that probably is that even though he's getting hit with Ankahas, he feels like he's
27:25 getting the better of it on the inside.
27:27 It could be fatiguing too.
27:28 Moving around the ring is very tiring.
27:30 Being explosive like that.
27:32 Being on point is very, very, very difficult.
27:35 It saps a lot of your discipline.
27:37 So mentally it can be wearing as a...
27:39 Oh, what's up?
27:56 You watching the game or maybe the one later?
27:58 Put a little bit of GM action on it.
28:00 Now any game becomes the game.
28:03 When you got overs and unders, you end it every time they throw the ball, kick the ball,
28:07 dribble the ball.
28:08 And it's not even a ball.
28:09 Who needs a ball?
28:11 Now that Betts got you watching every inning, half, round, period, set, hold, a lap.
28:17 Right from the edge of your seat.
28:26 We're building a better postal service.
28:28 All parts work internally.
28:29 Clearly Takuma Inoue feels like he can absorb those punches, right?
28:34 He's not necessarily shying away.
28:36 Not at all.
28:37 He's not taking the shots full on.
28:38 He has an ability to roll with them, get a little shoulder up, get a glove up.
28:39 Good counters there.
28:40 You can see the beginning of every round, he starts out moving.
28:41 But like the tide, he just keeps coming forward, keeps pressing.
28:42 He's got a lot of power.
28:43 He's got a lot of power.
28:44 He's got a lot of power.
28:45 He's got a lot of power.
28:46 He's got a lot of power.
28:47 He's got a lot of power.
28:48 He's got a lot of power.
28:49 He's got a lot of power.
28:50 He's got a lot of power.

30:00 He's got a lot of power.
30:01 He's got a lot of power.
30:02 He's got a lot of power.
30:03 He's got a lot of power.
30:04 He's got a lot of power.
30:05 He's got a lot of power.
30:06 He's got a lot of power.
30:07 He's got a lot of power.
30:08 He's got a lot of power.
30:10 Some of these look like they're heavy shots.
30:12 Takuma doesn't seem like he's being affected by them just yet, but listen, in terms of scoring,
30:17 very dangerous to let your opponent get off like this.
30:20 A big left hook there.
30:22 Landed four in away.
30:24 Definitely had an effect on Nkaha.
30:29 Maybe slowed him down a hair in this round eight.
30:33 Except for the body work from Agaza, he slowed down Takuma.
30:36 He's doing really nice, consistent work here.
30:38 This is one of the better salvos that he's had.
30:42 See how Takuma rolls with that shot.
30:47 He doesn't take the punches, especially to the head, very cleanly.
30:51 He has nice little deftly quick rolls and slides and gets his hands in position.
30:57 The body work is a different story though.
30:59 Nkaha's been beating the body on both sides.
31:02 And it looks like the punch is affecting you when you roll with it because you turn your head,
31:06 but you're actually making it less effective.
31:09 Right, yeah, that's what I mean.
31:11 He's not taking the full brunt of the force.
31:13 But those body punches though, like I had mentioned in previous fights,
31:17 even the ones that land on your elbows and your arms, they affect you.
31:20 You feel those. You absorb them in your body.
31:22 So even though they aren't scoring blows, they're still having an effect.
31:28 Absolutely.
31:33 One of the better rounds for Nkaha's in terms of landing leather.
31:37 I don't speak Japanese, but I speak boxing.
31:54 That sounded like he said, "Cut some angles, use your head moving up and down,
31:58 don't stand in front of him."
32:00 When you land, you should block with your body.
32:04 That's the middle part.
32:07 You see Noe there giving some advice to his brother.
32:15 But like we mentioned, Chris, very different fighting styles from both brothers.
32:20 Yeah, a lot of the same fundamentals are there because that's another thing about Noe Inoue,
32:24 which makes him that much, that incredible,
32:27 is that fundamentally he boxes very, very well.
32:31 He's very, very sharp. He's got good footwork, sound fundamentals.
32:35 I mean, he does everything right. It's textbook boxing.
32:38 It's just he has that big power.
32:40 Oh, good combination there from the outside. 2-1-2 over the top.
32:50 Round 9 for WBA bantamweight championship main event.
32:56 Here it comes.
32:57 Takuma Inoue has had success boxing and moving, but seemingly ends like this.
33:08 And a big right hand to the body.
33:11 Drops on Kahas.
33:13 He's hurt.
33:18 That's it. And that's the end of the fight.
33:22 Takuma Inoue knocks out Jerwin Ankahas with a body shot.
33:30 That came out of nowhere.
33:35 It looked like Ankahas was coming on, and even early in the round,
33:40 Takuma was standing in front, standing his ground, exchanging, rolling.
33:46 And then all of a sudden, boom, a body shot ends it.
33:50 No risk, no gain. That was the mentality of Takuma Inoue coming into this fight.
33:55 Inoue said he wanted to challenge himself, and tonight he did just that,
34:01 and rose to the occasion.
34:04 A brutal knockout win over Jerwin Ankahas.
34:15 And now Takuma Inoue continues to create his own legacy at bantamweight
34:24 with a successful bantamweight defense.
34:27 Let's take a look here at the replay.
34:29 That right hand to the body.
34:36 And another one.
34:38 That one, yep.
34:39 It's hard to see. The body's in the way.
34:41 Can't tell if it was to the liver or to the sole plexus, but it was a right hand
34:46 in between the punches.
34:48 Those punches, those shots that hit you in between, yeah, it was right in the liver.
34:53 It was the right uppercut right on the liver, and that shuts you off
34:57 when you get hit with that shot.
34:59 You saw Ankahas didn't want to go down, had a slight delay.
35:02 You saw the pain in his face.
35:04 Goes down, takes a full ten count.
35:07 And those slight delay body punches, Chris, can really take everything out of you,
35:12 and we saw that with Jerwin Ankahas.
35:14 It's completely debilitating.
35:16 You totally lose function of your body.
35:18 It's organ pain. You're not supposed to feel that.
35:21 You're not supposed to get hit in your organs.
35:23 That liver gets hit, and the body just shuts down.
35:26 >> The second to round number nine,
35:29 our free and charged Martin Nelson reaches the count of ten.
35:33 He is the winner by way of knockout,
35:36 and still the WBA belt and weight champion of the world,
35:42 Takuma Inoue!
35:47 [cheers and applause]
