00:00 I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been affected by Max
00:05 and Mason's death, from the people who looked after our boys, to the police, to the community
00:11 and everyone supporting us today. I can't find the right words and thank you just doesn't
00:16 seem good enough. Max and Mason were childhood friends with their whole lives ahead of them,
00:24 which was cruelly taken away from them. And I think one of these our family is suffering.
00:30 May both boys rest in peace. Thank you once again.
00:34 Just over three weeks ago, now, I lost my grandson Mason. He died along with his best
00:40 friend after being attacked outside his home. His death has had a profound effect on all
00:47 the family. We have been left in bits. He was 15 years old. No life should be ended
00:54 at that age. The support we've received from the community since his death has been incredible.
01:02 From kind words to acts of kindness, our neighbours have been there for us and I really can't
01:08 describe how much this has been appreciated. I'd like also to thank the police for everything
01:15 they have done. The family liaison officers were in constant contact with us in the days
01:22 that followed and continue to provide us with this support. The investigation team has also
01:28 been great and it is because of them people have been charged. So while we will never
01:35 get over Mason's death, myself and all of Mason's family want everyone who has supported
01:43 us to know how grateful we are. Thank you.
