00:44 while making impossible choices, or cheering on Rio Morales

00:50 after a devastating loss, our goal
00:52 is to provide representation through a diverse, believable
00:55 cast of characters who collaborate
00:56 to overcome monumental odds.

01:03 to have a development team that's representative as well,
01:05 one that ultimately reflects the diversity of our audience.
01:09 Now, frankly, we and the industry
01:10 have a long way to go to achieve this goal,
01:12 but we're making progress.
01:14 One of the ways we can help increase diversity
01:16 in our industry is by partnering with organizations
01:18 who help underrepresented and low-income youth with an on-ramp
01:21 to video game development.
01:23 Therefore, we and Sony Interactive Entertainment,
01:25 with support from Marvel and Disney,
01:27 have partnered with GameHeads, a nonprofit organization
01:31 based in Oakland, California.
01:32 GameHeads prepares and trains low-income and underrepresented
01:36 youth for careers in the tech and the video game industry.
01:39 Students at GameHeads learn how to code, animate, design,
01:42 manage projects, and work effectively in teams.
01:45 GameHeads gives these deserving students
01:47 the skills to open doors that, for them,
01:49 have often been closed.
01:51 Now, how are we partnered?
01:52 Well, on behalf of Insomniac and Sony Interactive Entertainment,
01:55 I am excited to announce a suit pack
01:58 with two new Spider-Man suits for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
02:02 The two suits in the pack have been designed
02:03 by GameHeads artists, and the pack
02:05 will be available for purchase for $4.99.
02:08 100% of the purchase price from the sales of the suit pack
02:11 in the United States is going to be donated to GameHeads
02:14 during the first calendar quarter of 2024,
02:17 up to $1 million, so that they can continue their mission.
