00:00 Hello, so today's video theme is richest neighborhoods.
00:03 So I've taken you to the West End of Glasgow.
00:06 When I was doing my research, various spots in Glasgow came up for the richest area, like recently.
00:13 I think it fluctuates and it changes all the time, the actual like specific streets and everything.
00:17 But I feel like the West End is consistent.
00:20 There's been places in the South Side, the North, never the East though.
00:24 That's one thing, which is a shame because that's where I'm from.
00:27 I got the subway here from Buchanan Galleries to Kelvin Bridge.
00:31 So we're going to walk downhill headway.
00:33 As an area, it feels posh, like everyone's dressed nice.
00:38 There's lots of like independent shops, lots of nice bakeries and cafes.
00:45 The bars are slightly more expensive, although they are probably nicer.
00:51 So let's go and explore.
00:53 Absolutely stunning.
00:55 One thing the West End is great for is vintage clothing.
00:58 So this is their vintage clothing shop.
01:01 It's also home to Glasgow's very own Kelvin Grove Art Gallery and Museum, which is down this way.
01:06 Over here also is Naked Soup, which is arguably one of the best places for a bagel and soup in Glasgow.
01:14 We would go there today, but it's always queued out the door.
01:16 I always feel quite intimidated when I come to the West End because everybody looks good.
01:20 Everyone's dressed immaculately.
01:22 Even the students, they've all got their street wear, but the expensive stuff is just like a sea of North Face jackets.
01:28 So one thing that is really good about Glasgow's West End is it has the Botanic Gardens,
01:32 which is right next to basically everything.
01:35 So if there is places that are busy, you can just come here and take some food or just hang out here.
01:42 You don't need to walk that far.
01:43 I suppose other places in Glasgow have that as well, like Southside.
01:49 But these are really, really nice gardens.
01:53 It was £6, so that's more money I would want to spend on a sandwich, but it is really, really good.
01:57 It actually might be the best sandwich I've ever eaten.
02:00 So it's salmon beetroot and I think it's cream cheese.
02:03 I think salmon and beetroot are such a good combination.
02:06 I think more things should involve this.
02:08 And on rye bread and it looks like homemade bread.
02:12 Extraordinary views.
02:14 That is one of the only issues about if you do decide to go to a park and eat your lunch,
02:19 that Scotland, especially Glasgow, is extremely cold.
02:23 And sometimes it just gets a bit too cold.
02:27 And you don't want to do that.
02:29 Or you need to move, so wrap up.
02:32 This is the Libertines' tour bus.
02:34 The Libertines are playing at the Old Moor tonight.
02:36 A revamped church, which is now a bar and live music venue.
02:42 I feel like I'm in Paris.
02:44 This is extremely chic.
02:46 The decor, I mean, there's flowers just hanging from the ceiling.
02:51 Flowers over meadows.
02:52 The wallpaper is beautiful.
