00:00 Hugo, is that just one of those nights you have to brush aside where what could go wrong did go wrong?
00:06 Yeah, I feel it was a little bit everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
00:10 With the goals that we conceded, we went down to 10 men.
00:14 We probably played the last 20 minutes with the equivalent of 9 men because Kobe's whacked himself.
00:19 I think he's a challenge and it's a great challenge to get the ball out of his net.
00:23 It's difficult enough to play against a team when they're on fire, form-wise, like FIRE have been lately.
00:30 The 10 men makes it harder and you're essentially carrying an extra man of play.
00:34 So it was tough, but it's just one of those nights.
00:38 We've always been one of these teams where we don't get over-excited when we have good wins.
00:43 That includes really good wins we've had this season.
00:46 We just get on with the next bit of business and it's got to be the same when we lose.
00:52 Whether we lose narrowly or not, we've just got to get on with it.
00:55 It's got to be back to business tomorrow.
00:57 Was the key moment in that game that controversial second goal?
01:01 Possibly, but at the same time, it's very easy to stand here and blame external factors, shall we say.
01:11 But if we still go in to it, we'd better keep the ball out of the net as well.
01:14 It's not right to blame external factors when you've got to look at yourselves as well.
01:20 There are certainly some things we know we need to get better at.
01:24 We've just got to keep working at that.
01:26 It was a double blow because Kian obviously sent off in the aftermath as well.
01:31 Kian obviously felt aggrieved about the events that had unfolded.
01:38 Whether he deserved to go or not, I don't know.
01:43 I've heard why he went, but I don't really want to comment on it
01:48 because I don't think it's fair without saying it's probably himself.
01:52 You actually started the game brightly and could have scored with Llewelyn in the second minute.
01:58 Yes, of course. It's all this buts and maybes.
02:01 One thing I will say is that we have got good players here and we've just had an off night.
02:05 But the players will hurt overnight and they've got a rest day tomorrow and then we're trained Thursday and Friday.
02:12 We've got to come back in bright and breezy, which I'm pretty certain we will do.
02:16 In fact, I know we will do because that's the type of character they are.
02:19 They want to put it right and the next game is a really hard one.
02:23 But I hope it will be a good game because there are two good sides.
02:26 I think Altrincham are a really good side.
02:28 But we look forward to it and we've got an opportunity quickly to put it back right if we can.
02:35 You've had plenty of good days this season so you can brush this off and get back on it in the play-off push.
02:41 Yes, we've had some brilliant days and we've had some not so good days.
02:46 That's the sort of side we are.
02:49 When we're good, we're good.
02:51 And when we've had a night like tonight where it feels like everything could go wrong, went wrong, it's hard.
02:59 But one thing I will say is that the crowd have been brilliant with us.
03:02 They understand the progress that this football club has made this season and the type of player.
03:06 We've got exciting players here, we've got good players.
03:09 I'm sure most of the time they enjoy watching them and I appreciate the crowd.
03:14 I know the players do and the rest of the staff.
03:16 We really appreciate the crowd staying to the end.
03:18 They carried on singing and they applauded.
03:21 They clapped the players at the end.
03:24 I'm sure they're as disappointed as we are and vice versa.
03:27 I'm pretty certain that the way I hear the players talking, not just now but in general,
03:32 they want to... they enjoy playing in front of the crowd.
03:37 They appreciate the support and they want to give them more memorable days like some of the ones we've had this year.
03:42 But we're getting to the point of the season now where it gets really, really hard now
03:46 because there's a lot at stake, whether you're down at the bottom, if you're in mid-table,
03:50 you're thinking, "Can I get into the playoffs?"
03:52 If you're a little bit lower than mid-table, you don't want to be looking over your shoulder.
03:56 Obviously, the ones in the top seven and beyond are looking to cement themselves now.
04:00 So it's a really interesting time of the season now.
04:02 There'll be lots of twists and turns yet, I'm sure.
04:05 A couple of injuries tonight. Obviously, Josh had to come off and Kobe looked to be limping at the end.
04:09 Hopefully not too bad.
04:10 Yeah, well, Josh... I feel sorry for Josh because I thought a lot of the good stuff we did early in the game all came through him.
04:16 He's a smart player. We know him well.
04:18 It was the reason why we had the opportunity to bring him here that we did.
04:22 He just felt something wasn't right with his calf and obviously he doesn't want to put himself out.
04:28 But we've got players on the bench that can come on and do a job, notably Josh Stokes tonight.
04:33 Not bad stuff to have.
04:35 But Kobe, he put his body on the line tonight.
04:38 From what I remember, he's hurt himself actually keeping the ball out of our net.
04:43 He deserves to be applauded but it's hard playing with ten men and almost with nine.
04:49 So, you know, it is what it is tonight.
