Reporter Laura Longworth reviews a spa lodge at the Gilpin Hotel in the Lake District and the new Pan-Asian menu created by head chef Tom Westerland at the Gilpin Spice to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

00:09 Hi, I'm Laura from the Lancashire Post and today I'm at the Gilpin Hotel in the Lakes
00:17 and I just think this place is absolutely incredible.
00:22 My little brain is just blown because the views from this room, they're breathtaking
00:31 and the room itself is so cosy and beautifully decorated.
00:36 It's like a home from home and there are so many goodies here.
00:40 There's a freestanding bath, a hot tub, a sauna, a steam room, you know, all attached to this room.
00:50 And I just think this is the perfect place for, you know, a winter getaway, an escape,
00:59 a weekend of pure pampering, bliss, luxury, romance with your partner.
01:05 And, you know, I just think they've done everything to make this place, yeah, a home from home.
01:12 And later today I'll be trying out the food at the hotel's restaurant, Gilpin Spice.
01:20 So it's Pan-Asian dishes, it's a new menu and it's to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
