A mum-of-12 who spends $26k-a-year on food and presents for her kids says trolls tell her “shut her legs” but she feels “blessed” to have a large family.
Britni Church, 35, hadn’t always dreamed of having a big family but now couldn’t be happier with her brood.
She fell pregnant aged 15 with her first daughter, Crizman, now 19, and went on to have Jordan, 17, Caleb, 16, Jace, 15, and Cadence, 13, with her ex-husband.
Britni had daughter Jesalyn, 11, with another partner before meeting and tying the knot with her now-husband, Chris, 32.
The couple welcomed their first child Silas, eight, three months after the wedding.
Now the pair have Christopher, seven, triplets – Oliver, Asher and Abel, four – and Rowyn, two, and finally feel at “peace” with their family.
Britni says the family spend $400-a-week on their food shop, $50 to $100 on each of their birthday gifts and around $4,000 on Christmas each year.
The mum gets trolled daily for her having a large family and spending 16 years pregnant – and says trolls tell her to “shut your legs” and ask “why didn’t you have abortions?”
Britni, a cake decorator, from Wichita, Kansas, US, said: “I never knew I’d have a big family.
“Chris said he wanted six kids – it seemed like an unimaginable number.
“Now we’re here it doesn’t feel like 12.
“I feel very blessed to be a mum.
“People say ‘why don’t you have abortions?’ or ‘close your legs’ and they say I look like I’m 60.
“It’s very gross stuff. I used to care what people thought.
“I’m happy with my life – not everyone is going to like that.
“I don’t regret anything.”
Britni says her first five children were not “necessarily planned” but is “glad” they are all here now.
She met Chris at a factory they both worked at in June 2014 and they hit it off and got hitched in March 2015.
Three months later, in June 2015, Silas was born and they welcomed Christopher in December 2016.
Still wanting to grow their family, Britni fell pregnant again in 2019 but was shocked when they found they were expecting triplets.
She said: “It was crazy.
“Finding out there were three – it was nuts.”
After having Rowyn and spending 16 years of her life pregnant, Britni decided she was happy with her brood.
She said: “After Rowyn we were done.
“I was like ‘I’m tired’.
“I felt at peace.”
Britni says to keep her household running smoothly she does 21 loads of washing a week, goes through 80 nappies and spends $400 on the weekly food shop.
Britni works in the afternoon so she can get the kids up and to school in the morning – and Chris is back in time to cook dinner and put them to bed.
She said: “Chris keeps us running.
“He does dinner and grocery shops.
“He’s amazing.”
The older kids – Crizman, Jordan and Jace – each have their own room and do their own chores.
Jesalyn and Cadence also share and will help out with washing and taking the trash out.
The five boys – Silas, Christopher, Oliver, Asher and Abel – share a room.
All their children live with them apart from Caleb – who has already moved out.
Britni said: “It’s a little bit tight.”
Britni’s children’s birthdays are only in six months of the year and she budgets $50 to $100 for a present for each of them.
At Christmas – presents, decorations and food – tend to tot up to around $4,000 for the family.
Britni said: “We try to do something special.”

00:00 I was 15 in 2004 and I was pregnant in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012.
00:14 I was not pregnant in 2013. I was pregnant in 2014, 2015, 2016. I was not pregnant in 2017.
00:24 I was pregnant in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and then that was the last that I've been pregnant.
00:34 I did not get pregnant in 2022 or 2023 and my husband... we're done.
00:40 Permanent measures were taken and we were not having any more.
00:43 So far since I was 15, there's been four like calendar years that I have not been pregnant.
00:51 I have 12 kids so there were years that I was pregnant with one child in like two separate years
00:57 but with the triplets obviously I was pregnant with three babies in two calendar years.
01:03 I'm thinking you must have 12 kids in order to form that opinion.
01:09 Oh I have a bunch of hair down.
01:11 Otherwise like how would you know that? So you're telling me, you're saying or you're
01:17 telling this other person that my 12 kids to me are more of a hassle than a blessing.
01:23 Honestly, please, please, please, please.
01:25 Because in order for you to know that you've had to have had 12 kids
01:28 to assume that my 12 kids are more of a hassle to me than a blessing.
01:32 I just want to say my children are a blessing from God each and every single one of them.
01:38 Do I think my kids are going to have 12 kids each?
01:40 No, no because that is unrealistic.
01:42 Like most people don't have 12 kids.
01:44 I didn't think I was going to have 12 kids.
01:45 I'm definitely not expecting them to have they can have zero kids if they want.
01:48 They can have two, they can have 25.
01:50 They're all going to be a blessing.
01:52 Rowan, my 12th baby is just as much of a blessing to our family as Chrisman was, my first child.
01:58 And if you do have 12 kids and you think that your 12 kids are more of a hassle than a blessing,
02:02 why did you have 12 children?
02:04 Why did you have the 12th?
02:05 That would be my question.
02:07 I mean I know people get pregnant and have babies for different reasons.
02:10 Not trying to judge you at all.
02:11 But if you really felt that your 12 kids are more of a hassle than a blessing,
02:16 I'm just genuinely curious why did you have 12?
02:19 Have a good day.
02:22 Sorry, I'm ranting a little bit.
02:23 This is me angry.
02:24 This is as angry as I get right here.
02:25 I'm pretty upset when I read this.
02:26 You're saying my children are being wise.
02:29 No, sorry, you're wrong.
02:31 I have 12 kids.
02:32 I got pregnant with my oldest when I was 15.
02:34 I had her at 16.
02:36 I got pregnant with my second when I was 16.
02:39 Had her at 17.
02:40 Got pregnant with my third when I was 18.
02:44 Had him at 18.
02:45 I got pregnant with my fourth when I was...
02:47 Right around when I turned 19.
02:51 And I had him when I was 19.
02:53 I got pregnant with my fifth when I was 20.
02:55 Had her at 21.
02:56 Got pregnant with my sixth when I was...
02:59 I got pregnant with my sixth when I was 23.
03:06 Had her when I was 23.
03:08 No.
03:08 I got pregnant with my sixth when I was 22.
03:10 And I had her when I was 23.
03:12 Got pregnant with my seventh when I was 25.
03:16 I had him when I was 26.
03:19 I got pregnant with my eighth when I was 27.
03:22 And I had him when I was 28.
03:24 I got pregnant with my ninth, tenth, and eleventh when I was 30.
03:28 And I had them when I was 30.
03:30 Pregnant with my last baby when I was...
03:32 30.
03:36 When I was 32.
03:38 And I had her when I was 32.
03:40 And I am now 35.
03:42 I had to think about that for a second.
03:45 Yes, I'm 35.
