¬“COFFEE HOUSE IS THE STORY ABOUT PEOPLE” Coffee house is one place where there are people who come every day and some who come rarely .The story of film is about a coffee house located in a metro city. Various groups of people visit regularly, there may not be any similarity in them except that all come to the coffee house. They develop a sort of relation with each other. This closeness amongst each other generates a kind of concern for each other too. Slowly the Coffee House crowd starts realizing that just sitting in the coffee house and simply discussing the issues relating to self and the nation lead to nowhere. Series of events make this Coffee House different from the others. Here the ideas start taking practical shapes and a new beginning starts. This film depicts youth, unemployed, retired and senior citizens. The film has feelings, humor, pain and joy which will make the audience search for few answers in their own lives. Various incidents in the story make the various characters realize their commonality which is nothing but Indians. Such a thought of one ness has always been a frightening factor for the political forces in our country. The incidents would force the audience to think, but without the film trying to preach them. A strong message that can go from the Coffee House is certainly before voting in the coming elections pay a visit to this Coffee House, which might change one’s perspective. Under the banner of Shivkala Motion Pictures in association with Marwah Studios, it is produced by Mahim Mittal, Kirshan Kumar, Asit Mittal and Sandeep Gupta. It is directed and written by Gurbir Singh Grewal. Gurbir has directed more than 15 TV serials among them was a well acclaimed TV serial “Neem Ka Ped”. Also he had Written and directed a Punjabi film “Mannat”, which had released in 2006. The lyrics of Coffee House are written by Mahim Mittal and music is by Jaidev Kumar.
