00:12 the Filipino-Chinese are celebrating the Chinese New Year in a peaceful and joyful way.

00:28 Because of the restrictions of the pandemic,
00:31 the local government did not hold a celebration of the Chinese New Year for the past 100 years.
00:37 But this year, they made sure that the activity will be joyful and lively.
00:41 Earlier, at 12 midnight, the local government held a simple ceremony
00:47 with the Filipino-Chinese community in Rizal Park to celebrate the new year.
00:51 The ceremony started at 6 pm.
00:53 There were performances that showed the culture of the Filipino-Chinese community here in Davao City.
00:59 Talents from different Chinese schools showed up here in Davao City.
