00:00 You went to the senior bowl, you bawled out.
00:02 >> Yes sir.
00:03 >> What are the NFL teams gonna get when they draft Spencer Rattler?
00:07 >> Yeah. >> Look in the camera though.
00:09 Look in the camera, that one right there.
00:10 Tell them what they're getting.
00:11 >> Yeah, I mean, a guy that can make all the throws, a guy that's very accurate,
00:16 can lead his team, get in and out the huddle, very efficient.
00:20 Quick processor, quick learner.
00:22 I can call myself a pocket passer, but can extend and show my athleticism to
00:27 move the chains and maybe break off a big play.
00:28 But I mean, I feel like they're getting a lot, a lot of talent and
00:32 obviously not where I wanna be yet.
00:34 Gotta keep working, not get complacent, but I'm happy where I'm at.
00:39 >> Right, so down there, you mentioned that you spoke to the past,
00:42 some of the guys from the past a little bit.
00:44 Could you see yourself in a Patriots jersey next year?
00:46 >> I can see myself in any jersey.
00:48 >> Right, yeah, I knew you.
00:49 >> I don't wanna put one name on it, it'd be a blessing to be picked wherever.
00:52 >> So how have things been for you?
00:54 I know you just kinda got out of the season.
00:57 Combine's coming up soon.
00:59 How you been taking it all in, man?
01:00 Cuz I know it's a lot.
01:01 I mean, you go from your last game, bowl game or whatever, January or for you,
01:06 it was like last week you played in the senior bowl.
01:08 You're training, you got the combine, how you been taking it all in?
01:12 >> Yeah, it's been fun, honestly.
01:14 It's been a lot, but it's been fun being able to be in this position.
01:18 I'm back home training in Arizona, so
01:20 it's good that I get to be around my family and stuff like that.
01:23 So it's been really smooth, I've been having a good time with it.
01:25 >> So we're here, Vegas Super Bowl, got an interesting quarterback matchup.
01:30 We got the guy, which is Patrick Mahomes, against the young guy,
01:34 which is Brock Purdy.
01:35 What quarterback do you think has the better game?
01:38 >> I mean, I think you gotta put Mahomes up there.
01:42 I mean, he's already one of the all time greats.
01:45 I'll throw it out there.
01:46 He's so talented, but I gotta show love to Brock Purdy too.
01:51 He's an Arizona kid just like me.
01:54 Came up, grew up in Gilbert, so much respect to him.
01:56 >> Yeah, I live in Scottsdale, that's what's up.
01:57 >> Played him in college twice, so good luck to both of them.
02:02 >> Give me a guess though, who you think gonna win?
02:07 I need to hear something.
02:08 Who you think gonna get that game?
02:09 Who's gonna get it?
02:11 >> I got the Chiefs.
02:12 >> You got the Chiefs?
02:12 Locked in, no Patty Mahomes?
02:14 All Patty Mahomes, no Brock Purdy?
02:15 >> I'm locked in. >> Okay, bet, bet, bet.
02:17 Last question.
02:23 When a guy like you, you transferred, you left Oklahoma, you got to South Carolina.
02:27 Thinking about the transition, when I left USC, I went to San Diego State.
02:34 You kind of have a little bit of a thought like, dang, I have to transfer.
02:38 Is my situation to get to the NFL gonna be the same?
02:41 Did you have some of those thoughts amongst yourself just dealing internally?
02:44 Cuz those are things that I didn't bring up with nobody else.
02:47 Did you deal with some of those things internally?
02:49 >> You gotta kinda just control what you can control.
02:51 That's how I looked at it.
02:53 I was honestly excited to make the move.
02:55 I was very fortunate to go to South Carolina with Coach Beamer and
02:58 what he's got going on up there and really loved my two years there.
03:01 So I think God has everything already written and he led me there.
03:04 So that's how I stay positive about it all and keep my faith.
03:07 >> That's a fact.
03:08 Spencer Rattler, ladies and gentlemen,
03:10 he will be dropping dimes in the NFL on Sunday's next season.
03:13 I appreciate your time, man.
03:14 >> Appreciate you.
03:15 >> Thanks.
03:15 (explosion)
