00:10 So it's Friday the 2nd of February and after a very long time it seems we're here opening
00:15 our new Oncology and Haematology Unit at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
00:18 I'm in one of our waiting areas, you can see fantastic facilities behind me.
00:22 I know there's lots of colleagues at the minute having a look around those new facilities.
00:25 So yeah, absolutely delighted and all the teams are delighted and all our patients will
00:30 get a great service in these new facilities as they do already with our great teams in
00:34 the Oncology and Haematology teams.
00:36 Hi, my name's Kerry G and I'm Service Manager for Oncology and Haematology.
00:42 So we're here today to celebrate the opening of our grand unit which is going to be excellent
00:48 for patient care and also for staff.
00:52 A lot of work has gone into the build from our Capital team, from our Nursing teams,
00:56 Admin teams and Medical team.
00:58 We've all worked together to bring together this wonderful unit.

01:13 It's fantastic that the Trust has invested in this brand new unit which will mean fantastic
01:20 new facilities for cancer patients in the Lancaster area.
01:25 I'd like to thank everyone that was involved from Capital Services to the architects and
01:29 especially to my team who over the last four years have been travelling up to Kendal while
01:34 we awaited this new unit.
