00:00 I am delightful to bring you an exciting news from Abu Dhabi's desert sands, where a magnificent
00:09 celebration is set to take place. On February 14th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate
00:15 the BAPS Hindu Mandir, a stunning temple near completion that stands as the largest in West
00:22 Asia. But before the grand inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will address the Indian community
00:29 on February 13th at Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The anticipation is palpable as the
00:35 finishing touches are added to the remarkable structure. Recently, Ambassador Sunjay Sudhir
00:42 organized a preview of the temple for ambassadors and spouses from 42 countries. The temple's
00:48 nearing completion has been viewed as a once impossible reality, sparking excitement among
00:55 those who had the privilege of getting a sneak peek. Swami Brahmabihari Das, the head of
01:00 the BAPS Hindu Mandir project, emphasized the historical significance of the temple
01:06 and its positive impact on the interfaith harmony. Both the UAE and Indian leadership
01:11 expressed gratitude for this landmark project. Situated on 27 acres in Abu Murekha, near
01:18 Al Rahba along the Abu Dhabi-Sheikh Zayed highways, the temple's location was strategically
01:24 chosen. The use of pink sandstone from northern Rajasthan ensures durability in the UAE's
01:31 scorching temperatures, while Italian marble adds an elegant touch to the construction.
01:36 What sets the project apart is the eco-conscious approach. Fly ash has been integrated into
01:43 the foundation's concrete mix, reducing the carbon footprint. Notably, it's the first
01:49 traditional Hindu temple with comprehensive digital modeling and seismic simulation.
01:54 Now, let's talk about the grandeur of BAPS Hindu Mandir. Standing at 32.92 meters at
02:02 a height, 79.86 meters in length and 54.86 meters in width, this architectural masterpiece
02:10 boasts two domes, seven spires, symbolizing the UAE's seven emirates, twelve smarnas
02:17 and 402 pillars. The facade is adorned with marble carvings against a sandstone backdrop
02:23 meticulously crafted from over 25,000 pieces of skilled artisans. Within the temple, intricate
02:31 carvings depict stories from Hindu epics. The Dome of Harmony showcases the balance
02:37 of natural elements. The complex includes a visitor center, prayer halls, exhibitions,
02:43 learning areas, a children's sports area, thematic gardens, water features, a food court
02:49 and a books and gift shop. Adding to its sophistication, the temple is equipped with sensors for earthquake
02:56 activity temperature fluctuations and pressure changes. This truly is a testament to the
03:02 rich cultural exchange between India and UAE and we eagerly await the momentous inauguration
03:08 of the BAPS Hindu Mandir on February 14. Stay tuned with One India News for more updates
03:14 on this extraordinary event.
