00:00 >> Here in victory lane at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum with our winner, Denny Hamlin.
00:05 Your fourth clash win all time.
00:07 Your second most on the all-time list.
00:09 Only behind Dale Earnhardt Sr.
00:11 What is the importance of winning this race and starting the season off with the winning
00:15 momentum?
00:16 >> I got two weeks to sit on it.
00:18 It's -- to have the first win in 2024, this is a good buildup for our team.
00:23 We got a few new road crew members, engineers on our 11 car for this year.
00:27 So just kind of break them in the right way by sending them to victory lane.
00:31 So I don't know what it means for -- you know, does this mean anything for 2024 or not.
00:36 But certainly it's a great momentum boost.
00:38 >> We said the famous line, you beat everybody's favorite driver.
00:42 But it was a little bit of a crazy race.
00:45 Describe what it's like with this short track at the L.A. Coliseum and the crazy restarts
00:49 we saw tonight.
00:50 >> Yeah, I mean, I thought after the first stage when our car just kind of faded there,
00:54 I thought, hey, let's try to get back to the top five.
00:57 But just as things went on, we really made some great adjustments at the halftime break.
01:02 And we just kept picking them off.
01:03 We had a couple good restarts on the outside.
01:06 That was helpful.
01:07 And then just that last restart, or second to last with Ty in the 22, it just allowed
01:13 me to have that gap right there on the bottom and take the lead.
01:16 >> Finally, how do you prep for the daytona 500?
01:18 I know you're going after another one.
01:19 But it's a big race for you, for the organization, and to go after and start the season strong.
01:24 >> Yeah, I mean, we'll prepare like we always have.
01:27 We do a great job on the 11 car getting ready for races and doing everything we can to make
01:32 sure we're ready for any situation.
01:34 And certainly today was a testament that to have such a fast car in practice, set a new
01:39 track record in qualifying, and then not have a great start to the race, but then a great
01:44 finish shows that we got our -- we prepare right and then we're able to adjust to different
01:49 circumstances.
01:50 So that really says a lot about my team, and I'm really proud of them.
01:53 >> Congratulations.
01:54 We'll see you in the high banks.
01:55 >> Thank you.
01:55 Thank you.
