The formative years of one of literature’s most famous families will be the focus of a new programme of exhibitions, talks and activities at the Brontë Parsonage Museum in 2024, in an exploration of how the childhood of Branwell, Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë shaped them as writers. ‘The Brontës Web of Childhood’ will feature items never before displayed publicly in an exhibition that examines what it was like for the family growing up in the Yorkshire village of Haworth and how their experiences inspired their creativity both as children and adults.
