00:00 Dan, how important was it to stay here in Cincinnati given?
00:03 I think anytime you find yourself a part of something that you believe in and you're around
00:09 really good people and you love coming to work every day, you gotta have a really good
00:13 reason to leave that willingly.
00:17 And so fortunately for me, the way things transpired, I didn't have to make that decision
00:24 and I get to stay here and this has been ideal for me all along.
00:29 I didn't know whether it was going to work out this way, but it has.
00:31 How important was it to have a level of continuity?
00:34 You haven't changed coordinators in five years and he's been in the building.
00:36 How important was that?
00:37 Yeah, when it's available, I think it is critical.
00:41 It's not always the case everywhere, but Dan's role has really evolved.
00:46 He's been the quarterback coach, but that role has really evolved and given him more
00:51 and he's been a bigger voice as the years have gone by.
00:54 And so it was a natural progression to make him the coordinator once Brian left and I
00:59 know that our staff would feel the same way.
01:01 You said this feels like home.
01:02 Was there a point during your time here that that particularly felt the case?
01:06 You've been here a while, obviously, where you noted that.
01:12 Yeah, I think it's rare that you get to be a part of something in one building where
01:18 you see the lowest of the lows and the highest of the highs.
01:22 And when you kind of get to experience every step along that journey, the elation, the
01:28 disappointment, to have felt all that in one place and experience that range of emotions,
01:35 that's home.
01:36 I mean, that's family.
01:39 You just feel like you've grown and you become who you are in that place and that place for
01:43 me is here.
01:45 So I'm just really fortunate that I get to stay.
