00:00 If your under eye bags are bagging, I'm here to help you.
00:03 It's less about piling on the products, which I know is very tempting, and more about really
00:08 mastering the technique to use makeup the right way so that your eye bags look smooth
00:14 and you look fresh even on those days when you're tired.
00:16 Here we go.
00:19 The first step is on clean skin, you want to prep your eyes with a great eye cream.
00:24 I like looking for a cooling gel.
00:26 This one's super lightweight and bouncy, which I love.
00:29 An ingredient to look for is caffeine, because that's going to give you that little quick
00:33 tightness to kind of help those bags chill out.
00:36 So when you're applying your eye cream, you want to use your fourth finger.
00:40 It's the weakest one, so that it's not going to tug at that really delicate, gentle under
00:45 eye area.
00:46 Next, we're going to go in with a color corrector.
00:48 Yes, this is an extra step, but it's actually a really important one.
00:52 If you have blue or gray undertones, like dark circles, I have a little hint of that.
00:57 A peachy orange toned concealer is going to cover that right up.
01:01 If you're someone that has more of a purple tone under your eye, you're going to want
01:04 a yellow color corrector for that.
01:06 So I just put two tiny dots of the peachy orange toned concealer right where that kind
01:13 of dark shadow hits.
01:15 And remember, less is more.
01:16 And then I'm going to go in with a nice fluffy brush and just tap and blend that out.
01:23 Once it's kind of blended, you can just buff it out to make sure you have a nice, even,
01:29 bright canvas.
01:31 Next step, choosing your concealer.
01:33 I love a liquid concealer.
01:35 It's a little bit more forgiving and foolproof than a super cream potted concealer.
01:40 And when you're selecting your shade, you want to go about one shade lighter than your
01:45 natural skin tone.
01:46 But you don't want to go super light or else it almost calls more attention to that area.
01:50 And if you get one with a doe foot or a nice, flexible sponge tip, that's going to help
01:56 you get it right where you need it.
01:57 And the key is less is more.
01:59 So we're going to go in and just make a few dots under the eye, kind of in the inner eye
02:04 where I tend to get a little darker.
02:06 And then I also love putting one little flick on the outside of the eye going upward because
02:12 that's really going to help lift your whole eye area.
02:15 And then we are going to blend, blend, blend.
02:18 So if you have a little bit of excess concealer, another trick I love to do is actually put
02:24 it over your lids.
02:26 Some of us have a little bit of redness or discoloration up there.
02:29 So that's going to give us a really nice brightness on top of the lids as well.
02:34 And you can just see that really just brightens us up.
02:38 It helps us fake that eight hours that not all of us are probably getting.
02:42 So the final step is to lock everything in with a translucent powder.
02:46 And this is really key, you guys, to finish it off because you don't want any of the concealer
02:50 like moving or fading, gathering in our little creases throughout the day.
02:54 So now we're just lightly dabbing it on top to kind of lock in where we put that color
02:58 corrector and that concealer.
03:01 Just kind of blends everything out.
03:03 And it's going to ensure that your concealer is going to last all day.
03:07 So now you guys know the techniques and steps to help you guys correct any dark circles
03:12 or bags so you can have bright, fresh eyes no matter how much sleep you're getting.
