Nottingham killer's sentence to be reviewed, minister says

Nottingham killer Valdo Calocane will be “locked up for the rest of his life,” a Tory minister has said as talks are underway to review his sentence. Gareth Davies said there was a process to refer the case to the Attorney General but it "was not appropriate" for him to comment on a specific case.    Short  Report by Kennedyl. 00:13 Now, we've been very clear that when a crime happens, it's important for the judge and the courts to pass down a sentence.

00:22 But I'm assured that the sentence that has been passed will ensure that this criminal will be locked up for the rest of his life.

00:30 It remains an option to anybody in any case to refer the sentence to the Attorney General for her to review.

00:38 And we'll have to see what happens in this case, but I can't comment on the specific circumstances of this case beyond what I've already said.
