00:02 Which one is she better at?
00:04 I think it's pretty equal from what we've seen so far.
00:08 And I have one of those powers,
00:10 and I'll just let you guess which one it is.
00:13 It's super strong.

00:28 I also feel like she has a vendetta against Jen.
00:32 Am I reading too much into that?
00:33 I think it's just that she's got this classic female

00:41 Okay.
00:42 I think any woman who would show any sign of strength
00:47 that could possibly match Titania

00:51 She feels like there can only be one
00:52 and this town is only big enough for one of us,

03:48 I wanted her to look like a walking filter.
03:50 Do you know what I mean?
03:51 Because she's playing this super-influencer

03:55 And so I wanted to just cover her in makeup and contour,

04:43 How did you come to that conclusion?
04:44 -Yeah, I mean, like, I saw the script.
04:46 I was like, "Oh, my God."
04:49 And then you start thinking and talking,
04:51 and it's a very collaborative, super collaborative atmosphere
04:55 with a lot of freedom.
04:57 And so I sort of popped around some ideas,

05:13 I actually think the -- pretty close to my original words
05:17 is how that was supposed to be.
05:20 Actually, I don't think we did that many versions of it,

05:27 -Marvel Project, I just was curious if you anticipated

05:32 instead of, like, courtroom drama.
05:35 -I definitely had no idea
05:37 that I was going to be doing any action.
05:39 I knew there would be action in the project,
05:41 but I was reassured by Kat, our director,
05:44 that I was just doing a little cameo
05:46 because she was flying to get me to come and do it.
05:48 And it's only because I was very afraid of stunts
05:50 that I was avoiding any kind of Marvel Projects.
05:53 So I just didn't know what the project was,
05:56 and I thought I was playing just a regular human arsehole.
06:01 You know, I didn't think that I was going to play
06:03 a super arsehole, which is very exciting.
06:07 And it also creates room for me to maybe have a future
06:11 in the MCU because I have superpowers.
06:13 So, fingers crossed I get to do that
06:15 and tell more of Mary's -- I mean, Titania's story.
06:19 She's known as Mary McFerrin in the comics.
06:21 But it was the surprise of my life,
06:24 and thank you to Kat Coiro because she changed my life
06:26 with those phone calls and e-mails
06:29 forcing me to do that audition and overcome my fear.
06:32 And I am grateful to her forever.
06:34 -We will call it "Spinoff Asshole," and it'll be --
06:37 -[ Laughs ]
06:39 -It'll be coming to Disney+ in 2023.
06:42 -Yeah, Disney are going to love that.
06:44 -But I think a more specific thing I can say is, like,
06:48 this show does such a good job of subverting your expectations
06:51 of what you think it's going to be.
06:53 And I think Jennifer speaking to the fourth wall is so --
06:56 breaking the fourth wall is so much about that.
06:58 Like, speaking to the audience, being like, "I think, you know --
07:00 I think I -- I know what you're thinking."
07:03 You know what I mean?
07:04 Including the audience in the making of the show.
07:07 -Yeah.
07:08 -Or, you know, obviously, the show's been made already,
07:10 but there's this sort of dialogue
07:13 that the show's having with the audience.
07:14 And so there's definitely a lot of thought
07:16 into, like, how do we play with expectations?
07:19 I know the writers thought about that a lot.
07:20 Like, I can't take any credit for the strips.
07:22 That's completely Jessica Gao and her team.
07:25 That's kind of what I'll say is, like, there's --
07:28 yes, there's a reason why this show
07:30 feels very different than other shows.
07:32 -Excuse me. -Oh.
07:34 -Could you take a photo of us? -Oh, my God, yes.
07:36 -No. -Back up.
07:37 -That's a lizard eye. -Just give me some space.
07:40 -You're taking the photo? -Just one.
07:41 Just one, and that is it.
07:43 (upbeat music)
