00:00 My name is Kenny Hannah and I am a Rural Chaplain. That means that I work with farmers, farming
00:07 families and the wider rural community amongst a wide variety of needs. Spiritual, mental
00:15 health and physical health. That includes issues such as farm accident, succession who
00:21 the farm will pass on to, depression, attempted suicide, bovine TB to name just a few. I work
00:29 across two of the six counties in Northern Ireland, counties Armagh and Down. I work
00:35 in partnership with four livestock markets. I also work with many farm support organisations.
00:41 I visit agri-businesses and I do work in schools. Also part of what I do is to signpost those
00:48 in particular need to other organisations and services who can help them best. And this
00:54 is where farming life is absolutely vital to what we do. It appraises the wider rural
01:00 and agri-business communities of the wide range of services we offer through a weekly
01:06 Rural Chaplaincy Diary that explains where we are and when we'll be there. I know this
01:12 has been tremendously helpful and various farmers and other folk have said to me that
01:16 they knew I would be in a particular location because they read it in Farming Life's Rural
01:21 Chaplaincy Diary. So thank you so much Farming Life for all that you do for me and in particular
01:26 thank you so much Ruth for all your practical help and encouragement since I began this
01:32 post. God bless.
