00:00 Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.
00:03 Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has revealed the cause of a blaze which saw Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield close for several hours earlier this week.
00:11 Emergency services were called to a derelict property on Chatsworth Road shortly after 12.30pm on Tuesday.
00:17 Fire crews from Staveley, Claycross and Chesterfield attended the incident.
00:22 The road was closed until around 4.30pm and traffic was diverted with motorists urged to avoid the area.
00:29 The Ends Terrace property suffered significant structural damage due to the fire and two adjacent derelict properties also suffered some damage.
00:37 A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has now confirmed that their investigation into the incident has determined the most likely cause to be deliberate ignition.
00:46 A spokesperson for Peppermint Grove, which owns the properties, said that a structural engineer will visit the site to assess the level of damage before any further plans are made about the building's future.
00:57 Councillors have thrown out plans for a glamping site in Derbyshire after almost 100 people objected to the proposals.
01:05 High Peak Borough Council's Development and Control Committee refused the plans for holiday accommodation units off Long Lane near Chapel on the Frith,
01:12 saying the proposals would cause "significant adverse landscape and visual effects".
01:17 The application was submitted by God's Plan Ltd and, if approved, would have seen 15 glamping pods, safari tents or shepherd's huts being built along with pitches for five motorhomes.
