Morgan State University Placed on Lockdown After Multiple People Shot on Campus

A shooting unfolded at Morgan State University on the night of Oct. 3, continuing into the early hours of Oct. 4. Campus officials reported hearing gunshots around 9:25 p.m. They discovered four males and one female who had been shot.
Multiple videos posted by Morgan State students captured the chaotic scene on campus, showing SWAT members entering dormitories and police officers patrolling in search of the shooter. The shooting ceased around midnight, and the shelter-in-place order was lifted early on Oct. 4.
