00:00 What up, what up, it's DJ Dubs, and this is The Sauce on So.com, and today we have
00:05 Sin Santana on the check-in with us.
00:08 Thank you for giving us the time.
00:09 Hey, thank you for having me.
00:11 Now congratulations on the success of your brand new single, "Comet."
00:14 Thank you.
00:15 Currently trending on iTunes.
00:16 Yes.
00:17 Playlist on Spotify just got added.
00:20 Yeah, the big playlist too.
00:23 I scroll on social media, I see girls putting it on their stories, like, you know, stunting
00:28 at brunch and shit like that.
00:29 They're dancing, honey, feeling themselves.
00:30 The reason why we're here.
00:31 We're at 500K, about to be 500K on YouTube.
00:38 Yeah.
00:39 Now, it's a perreo record.
00:41 It's a perreo, perreo.
00:42 It's an old school dembow sound.
00:44 Yeah.
00:45 It's one of them classic records.
00:47 It's a classic record.
00:48 House party vibe.
00:49 Right, right, right.
00:50 It's a brand new sound though.
00:53 It still has a new twist to it.
00:57 What was the inspiration for "Comet?"
01:00 So let me actually tell you the story for "Comet" because it's crazy.
01:05 It's like whatever is meant to be will be.
01:09 So before I dropped "Comet," I have my EP on, my first EP, which was an all English
01:15 EP.
01:16 Right.
01:17 And it's a mixture of R&B, pop, and a little bit of rap because I could flow a little bit,
01:24 you feel me?
01:25 Right, right.
01:26 I could put a couple things up.
01:27 And then I was like, "All right, I'm about to get into my Spanish bag," because when
01:31 I did that EP, I had just gone out of an engagement.
01:35 So that was how I felt in that moment, right?
01:39 But once I released all of that, I was like, "All right, I feel better."
01:44 I was like, "I got to get on my sexy Latina shit."
01:48 So I started writing a song.
01:53 It's called "Tu No Ere."
01:54 I don't know what I'm going to do with that song yet.
01:56 It might be on the EP, the Spanish EP.
01:59 Whatever, that's between me and you.
02:01 Anyway, so I started writing a Spanish song because I've never done a full Spanish song.
02:09 I always just started, write a little verse here, half a verse, a line or two, but I never
02:14 really composed a Spanish record.
02:17 And then the girl that I was writing with, my sis Jasmine Lopez, she didn't know how
02:23 to write Spanish.
02:24 So I was forced to write a whole Spanish song.
02:29 And I have co-writers, and I love that.
02:31 I love working with other people.
02:34 I'm one of those.
02:35 I'm a Libra, so I'm always like, "I know what I'm going to do, but I need your opinion still."
02:38 I always want more brains involved.
02:40 So I'm like-
02:41 That's good that you're able to take input and not be egotistical about it.
02:45 No, no.
02:46 And I love that.
02:48 I just love people and energy.
02:51 And especially making a song is so amazing to me.
02:54 Literally building something from scratch, that shit is special.
02:57 I could curse here, right?
02:59 That shit is so special to me.
03:01 So I was sad that my girl did not know how to write in Spanish, but that also forced
03:07 me to get into my bag.
03:09 Anyway, because I'm a storyteller, we'll sit here for hours and talk.
03:13 So long story short, I said, "Damn, I was almost done with the song."
03:18 And I'm like, "I need another bar or two, but I need something strong."
03:22 So she's like, "Oh, my brother told her we'll call Sosa."
03:27 Right?
03:28 This time it's Sosa.
03:29 So Sosa is on the song.
03:30 That's the man's voice that y'all hear.
03:33 That's the guy with the big ass chain.
03:34 Yeah, that's El Sosa.
03:35 El Sosa, he's in the video too.
03:39 So we FaceTimed him really fast.
03:41 I've never met him.
03:44 We know a lot of the same people.
03:45 I never met him.
03:46 And on the fly, this man gave me...
03:50 We barely spoke.
03:51 We just told him we need two bars, and he gave it to me on the fly.
03:55 And I was like, "Oh, who is this guy?
03:58 I like his energy.
03:59 I like that."
04:00 Whenever, wherever, this is what I do.
04:02 I like people like that.
04:04 And so I'm also trying to build my team.
04:07 I know where I'm trying to go, and I know I can't do this by myself.
04:11 So I just instantly fell in love with him.
04:15 And I said, "All right, we got to get in the studio."
04:17 So we're in the studio.
04:19 I'm recording this new song, this first Spanish song.
04:23 And we listen.
04:24 It was cool.
04:25 It was good.
04:26 It was the first time that I've ever recorded an entire Spanish song by myself.
04:32 That was the first Spanish song completed.
04:35 And after every session, we always sit down, jam a little.
04:38 "Oh, let me hear what you got.
04:39 Let me hear what you got.
04:40 Oh, look.
04:41 I got this."
04:42 So we started doing that with Sosa, and he started playing some Spanish shit.
04:46 And now I'm super passionate, and I'm a workaholic.
04:49 So if we still in the studio and I hear some shit, I'm getting back in the booth.
04:53 So be very careful.
04:55 So he's showing me shit, and it's fire.
04:58 And I'm like, "You're showing this to me?
05:01 Are you showing me your music?"
05:03 Or like what?
05:04 And he's like, "Yeah, no, I'm just showing you stuff."
05:06 So we going through it.
05:07 And then he hits "Come."
05:10 But he was about to skip that.
05:12 And I said-
05:13 He was about to like-
05:14 Yeah, he was-
05:15 Hold up.
05:16 I'm going to keep going.
05:17 He was looking for a specific song.
05:18 Okay.
05:19 "Bombero."
05:20 I forgot the name of it.
05:21 And I hear "Come."
05:22 It was his song, though.
05:23 You feel me?
05:24 Right.
05:25 He was the only one on the song.
05:26 But when the beat drop and I heard, and I said, "Hold on.
05:29 Wait.
05:30 Go back to the other song."
05:31 Man, when I heard that song, I said, "Bro."
05:36 I said, "I know this your baby.
05:38 I don't know what it's like to do your shit."
05:40 And just like, I said, "I know this is your baby, but this song is special."
05:46 I said, "This song got a vibe instantly.
05:48 It just captures you."
05:49 I'm like, "If you let me do this song, I will do this song all the justice."
05:55 And it took a little bit of convincing because it's a good song.
06:00 It's a record.
06:01 It's something that you want to keep for yourself.
06:02 I get it.
06:03 I understand.
06:04 It's a great song.
06:05 So when he finally was like, "Aight, yo, yeah, go ahead."
06:07 I said, "Oh, it's go time."
06:09 So that's how "Coleman" came about.
06:11 But what attracted me about the song, it instantly reminded me of house parties.
06:17 Right.
06:18 When I was 14, 15, 16.
06:21 Yeah.
06:22 La Pareto Sudao with the jeans, the ass prints on the walls.
06:25 It instantly took me there.
06:28 And I liked how that felt.
06:29 I was like, "Oh my God, it's like old times."
06:31 But then it still has that fresh sound.
06:32 You know, that new reggaeton sound.
06:36 And then my favorite, it's a nasty song.
06:39 I like all that nasty shit.
06:41 If you could put any artist on a remix to "Coleman," who would that be?
06:47 I mean, I have a list, right?
06:50 I have a list.
06:51 I'm very spiritual.
06:52 I do not believe in speaking out loud until I have started the mission.
06:57 Got you.
06:58 But right now we're trying to decide if we should put a guy on it and do a back and forth.
07:06 Or I want to do a fucking movement with all women, like three other girls and me with
07:13 a whole new verse and just fucking make it an anthem.
07:17 That's what I want to do.
07:19 You got me now thinking about what that would sound like with Rosalia or this, you know,
07:25 like Carole G talking her shit.
07:28 Ooh, baby.
07:29 Who would you put on the remix, if it were up to you?
07:32 Evie Queen.
07:34 I will fucking flip the studio inside out.
07:38 Evie Queen is-
07:39 Evie Queen.
07:40 No, I-
07:41 Buddha could get Evie Queen for you.
07:42 I adore Evie Queen, okay?
07:43 I don't know.
07:44 Well, y'all haven't, you haven't, I was going to say the rest of my music hasn't been out,
07:49 but Evie Queen is one of my inspirations.
07:51 I really, really, really adore her.
07:54 She's top three for me.
07:55 Always has been my whole life.
07:56 I was 12 with my long nails.
07:59 I'm Puerto Rican.
08:01 Yeah, and I'm not Puerto Rican.
08:03 I know you're not.
08:04 You feel Puerto Rican, but you listen to Evie Queen.
08:05 Yeah, I'm, Evie Queen is Puerto Rican and so am I. Like, whatever that woman did, oof,
08:11 she's special.
08:12 She's definitely special.
08:13 I would love to have Evie Queen on everything.
08:16 Are you kidding me?
08:17 Of course.
08:18 On everything.
08:19 Who was the first DJ to play Come On The Radio?
08:22 Oh, baby.
08:23 DJ Comello.
08:24 First, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first.
08:27 That I know of-
08:28 That you know of first-
08:29 And that reached out to me and said, "Yo, I'm fucking with it.
08:34 Go ahead."
08:35 DJ Comello, for sure.
08:37 Comello checked in genuinely and whatever he could do, he's like, "Yo, I got you."
08:42 And he's been playing it.
08:43 He's been playing on his mixes.
08:45 I really appreciate that so much, especially because I've- Comello knows me since younger.
08:50 I used to work the doors.
08:51 I used to do all the little clubs uptown.
08:54 Vintage.
08:55 Yeah, you talking that shit right now.
08:58 You talking literally my language right now.
09:00 Made in Mexico.
09:01 Remember Made in Mexico?
09:02 Yeah.
09:03 Before vintage, right?
09:04 No, after.
09:05 After.
09:06 Yeah, you're right because I'm vintage.
09:07 Man, listen, I used to be all over Dykeman and the Bronx doing the doors.
09:12 So a lot of these DJs and promoters I've known since young.
09:16 You know Russ?
09:17 Yeah.
09:18 Russ, Russ, yeah.
09:19 I used to call him father.
09:20 I used to be like my father.
09:22 He was the one that put me to the doors.
09:25 And ooh, baby.
09:26 Wow.
09:27 It's been a long, long time.
09:29 But when Comello did that for me, it was a full circle moment for me.
09:33 It was super special.
09:34 To hear that shit on 1997, DJ Comello.
09:37 I used to be 17, 18 years old.
09:39 Nobody even knew because I didn't look that young.
09:41 Right.
09:42 But I'm at the door like, "Yeah, $20.
09:43 I had to deal with all these motherfuckers like, '$20, $25?
09:46 We popping bottles.'"
09:48 "16 gold chains on and they like, '$20?'"
09:51 That's what's happening.
09:53 I could not wait.
09:55 So you were introduced to the world on Love & Hip Hop.
10:00 And do you think that they did a good job representing you, who you are as a person,
10:06 with the editing?
10:08 That's a tricky question because I feel like you can only represent yourself when you're
10:13 going on a show or anything.
10:15 The show does edit, but they're editing what you do and what you say.
10:20 So did they do a good job representing me?
10:25 I mean...
10:26 A lot of people say things like, "That's not what happened.
10:31 They put it out of order.
10:32 This A happened before the C," or whatever.
10:33 So did they do a good job of that?
10:38 Yeah.
10:39 They've never really played with me, but I've also never really played with them or with
10:44 anybody.
10:45 I'm just always real pacific.
10:48 You know what I'm saying?
10:49 So there wasn't really much to edit.
10:54 But I've never really had an issue with them.
10:58 I show up, I do my job, I'm honest, and I keep it moving.
11:02 So I've never had that issue with the network or the show, thank God.
11:05 That's great.
11:06 What'd you do with your first Love & Hip Hop check?
11:10 My first Love & Hip Hop check, actually I bought...
11:14 With my first two checks, I bought my mama a house in El Salvador.
11:18 So that was a really, really, really big deal for me.
11:20 That is a big deal.
11:21 Yeah, that was very special for me.
11:23 They're your first generation here, right?
11:26 Yeah.
11:27 That was a big deal.
11:28 That's a lot of pressure.
11:29 Yeah, it is.
11:30 Being the first generation of immigrant parents.
11:33 Of immigrant parents.
11:34 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:35 And then my mom is from El Salvador.
11:39 So all these countries, they're just less fortunate than us over here.
11:45 El Salvador, it's like this.
11:48 Where my mom's from, even today in 2021, they make $2 an hour in some jobs.
11:54 It's like, "atrasado."
11:57 So that was really special for me to be able to cash a check and tell my mom, "Yo, you
12:04 have a whole house in El Salvador?"
12:05 A whole house.
12:06 Oh my God.
12:07 That's amazing.
12:08 That was super dope.
12:09 That's dope, man.
12:10 I'm glad you didn't throw it on the chain.
12:11 Never.
12:12 I don't do that stuff.
12:13 I got robbed at gunpoint when I was 20.
12:16 Never again.
12:17 What'd they take?
12:18 I might have one.
12:19 They took everything.
12:20 My watch, everything.
12:21 They took seven watches.
12:23 It's robbed me and everybody I was with.
12:25 I had chains, my earrings.
12:26 You want to know where this was at?
12:29 Lannan C. Do you remember Lannan C in the Bronx?
12:32 220, 230th?
12:33 I'm from downtown, so a lot of the uptown spots, they didn't book me there.
12:38 So I wasn't really up there like that.
12:39 That was a really hot spot after ... That was like a diner.
12:43 That's what everybody would go after.
12:45 I got robbed in 1920.
12:47 Never again.
12:48 I never ever bought or wore anything.
12:50 I mean, I've bought.
12:51 I wear like my ... But not like that.
12:54 I'm not flashy like that no more.
12:55 I don't like that stuff.
12:56 What's one thing that you wish that you knew before you got into the music industry?
13:02 Damn, you know what's crazy?
13:05 I've been in the entertainment industry for a long time.
13:08 The music industry for a second.
13:09 I know.
13:10 You've been doing your thing for a while.
13:11 Yeah.
13:12 But music is a whole different area.
13:14 I'm starting to feel like just the things in the industry, like people, politics, and
13:22 all that, I don't like it.
13:23 What don't you like about it?
13:25 Just like everything has to be a thing.
13:29 You can't just hit up a DJ and say, "Hey, I got a good song.
13:33 We from the city."
13:35 Everything is a thing and oh and no or this.
13:40 Nothing is organic.
13:41 Nothing just happens.
13:42 So you had a problem getting Kome play?
13:46 No, not necessarily Kome, but I've had a couple of DJs that I've been scared to play it because
13:53 it's not this record or that record.
13:55 I don't know.
13:56 It's fucking weird.
13:57 That sounds weird to me.
13:58 This is me.
13:59 My name is DJ Dubz.
14:00 If anybody doesn't know, I'm a DJ in New York City, and she's talking about a party record.
14:05 A DJ being iffy about playing a good party record.
14:09 That's a problem with the DJ.
14:11 I don't understand.
14:12 That's a DJ problem.
14:13 That's a you problem.
14:14 But I'm confused because I'm like, "Okay."
14:17 That sounds funny to me.
14:18 But you play music.
14:19 You play music.
14:20 And here's a good song.
14:21 And here's a great song.
14:22 Or is it because I'm not giving you the time of day?
14:24 Or is it because it's in Santana?
14:26 I don't know what it is, but I don't like none of it.
14:28 You feel me?
14:29 That sounds funny to me.
14:30 Yeah, I don't like that stuff.
14:32 I don't like it.
14:33 And I also don't like the fake love.
14:34 I have so many motherfuckers give me they back shit on me.
14:38 All this shit.
14:39 They hurt cold man '97.
14:40 Forget it.
14:41 All that fake love, I don't like that.
14:44 I do not look forward to none of these things.
14:46 I just want to make bomb music and live an amazing life and make people feel good.
14:51 I do not give a fuck about all this other shit.
14:53 Now, let me bring it to this.
14:55 Cardi B was on Love & Hip Hop.
14:57 She had a problem with DJ Self playing her music before.
15:01 I'm just being 100.
15:03 The music wasn't what it was now.
15:05 She had clones as an artist.
15:10 If she came to me with that music, I would have been cool about it.
15:14 I probably would have played it, but I would have never gotten behind it the way that I
15:18 would have gotten behind Bodak Yellow.
15:19 Because Bodak Yellow is Bodak Yellow.
15:23 You could hear the growth.
15:24 Well, I think it's also how you relay a message or deliver a message.
15:30 At the end of the day, if someone is serious about their craft, I'll say this too, as a
15:36 new artist, you try to find your sound.
15:41 It took me a minute to find my pocket and my sound and also what I'm feeling.
15:46 I'm sure that's what Cardi went through as well.
15:48 Now, you're from New York.
15:51 You're actually from here.
15:52 I'm from New York.
15:53 You couldn't really run away from the pandemic because you're from fucking New York.
15:59 Who were some of your favorite DJs when you were coming up?
16:03 I mean, definitely, listen, Funk Flex has been on this radio since I was fucking three.
16:10 I've heard funk my whole life.
16:12 I've always been an Angie Martinez fan.
16:16 Always, always, always, always.
16:17 She is the female voice.
16:21 Growing up, that was '97, then she went over to 105.
16:28 Some of my favorite DJs, Alex Sensation, I heard him growing up too.
16:34 And then I also like the young ones.
16:37 When I say young ones, people more in my age range, Spank King.
16:41 I thought was Spank King real heavy.
16:43 That's broke.
16:46 I'm starting to get into the female DJs that are out now because back then there weren't
16:52 really many female DJs.
16:53 So like Steph Cakes, she's super dope.
16:58 Yeah I'm still very familiar with a lot of DJs.
17:02 You're currently sponsored by Fashion Nova and Rihanna's Savage X.
17:07 Savage X, yes.
17:09 Now, I'm very proud of you as a Latino.
17:12 Latino gang, for real.
17:15 Thank you.
17:16 We're from the same city and it's dope to see one of us move so aggressively.
17:20 It's dope.
17:21 How do you negotiate with such large brands like Fashion Nova?
17:25 That's such a great question.
17:28 That shit ain't easy.
17:31 Because you also want to work with these people.
17:33 You have to find a balance.
17:37 It's such a blessing to be able to work with these big companies.
17:41 It's fucking Rihanna.
17:42 You know what I'm saying?
17:43 It's Rihanna's brand.
17:44 That was so big for me.
17:47 But I'm a business woman.
17:51 I know my worth.
17:52 I know what I can bring to the table.
17:54 I am also a professional.
17:56 I take what I do very serious.
17:57 I'm not just saying, "Oh, I'm an influencer."
18:00 Or like, "I'm Sin and I'm popping."
18:02 No, everything that I do is serious for me.
18:07 I know what I'm bringing to the table.
18:08 This is what I need from you.
18:09 And you tell me what you need from me and we'll figure it out.
18:13 But baby, I'm Sin Aggressive Santana.
18:16 The mission needs to be completed.
18:20 So, how do I do it?
18:22 Well, you let the lawyers do most of the talking of course.
18:24 That's a good question.
18:25 So, the lawyers, you're not necessarily, you know, negotiating.
18:30 No, I'm not negotiating but I am telling my lawyer what I need and, you know, how this
18:36 is going to work for me.
18:38 So, I mean, essentially, you know, the lawyers are talking for us.
18:41 It's like, what y'all saying, what I'm saying, let the lawyers talk.
18:45 But that's what I need, you know.
18:46 So, you kind of just, you got to be aggressive but you got to be graceful too.
18:51 You got to find that balance.
18:54 Right.
18:55 Now, people have kids and break up all the time.
19:01 Unfortunately.
19:02 Unfortunately.
19:03 Jesus.
19:04 Not people, men.
19:05 Yo, all right.
19:06 People break up all the time.
19:10 What kind of advice would you give new parents about co-parenting after they break up?
19:18 Okay.
19:19 That's a really, really hard co-parenting.
19:23 If you're just freshly broken up, that means that there are a lot of emotions.
19:31 It literally comes down to this.
19:34 Nobody give a fuck about your emotion and nobody give a fuck about your partner's emotions.
19:40 The main concern here is the child and making sure that that child feels the same amount
19:46 of love and security when he is with mommy and with daddy.
19:51 Literally, all that other noise, you got to shut it down.
19:57 Period.
19:58 If you don't, it's not going to work.
20:01 You can't talk about ... Now, it's strictly about the child.
20:07 You literally kind of have to go cold turkey with it.
20:10 If y'all are done, we're done.
20:12 We both know that we are finished with this relationship and now we have a new relationship
20:17 to work on, which is co-parenting.
20:20 Co-parenting got nothing to do with how you feel and how I've hurt you and with how I
20:24 feel and how you've hurt me.
20:28 You really got to separate the shit.
20:30 It's almost like business and personal.
20:32 This is a whole different relationship.
20:35 The minute you feed into an emotion, forget it.
20:40 It's going to go down the drain.
20:43 You got to be stern with yourself or with the person.
20:46 It takes a while too because it's like we're human.
20:50 How can you not feel or express, "I got to let you know my anger."
20:54 Your anger got nothing to do with this child.
20:57 Why are you picking your child up?
20:58 You know what I'm saying?
20:59 Even with women, we are emotional creatures.
21:03 When a man has hurt us, you need to feel us.
21:07 It is so dangerous when we are hurt and we are mad and we're heartbroken.
21:15 The child, oh my God, it's like the minute that child feels that energy, we don't know
21:20 because they're in La La World and they're just like, "Oh, playing.
21:24 They're doing kid stuff."
21:25 They don't know about the adult stuff.
21:27 They're playing games, watching cartoons.
21:29 That's not true.
21:30 They feel everything and they know even if they don't speak or it don't matter their
21:34 age, even down to one, two years old, the young ones, that shit is so dangerous.
21:39 You really want to work as hard.
21:42 It's like being in a war or a workout.
21:44 You got to give it your all every single time until you reach a real genuine place of peace.
21:51 It's going to take a while.
21:54 Every time, "TĂş le tienes que dar con todo."
21:57 "I'm picking up the baby today.
21:59 I'm saying hi."
22:00 That's another thing too.
22:02 That energy, that anger, you can't give that off because people get defensive.
22:08 If you come to me with the baby here, it's counterproductive.
22:15 You just really have to put your best foot forward every single time until you motherfuckers
22:21 can look at each other and say, "Aye, we could do this."
22:24 This is something a man would just never understand fully.
22:29 In your opinion, what should a man do to help a woman's mental health during postpartum
22:35 depression?
22:36 You know what's so crazy?
22:38 Because that is true.
22:41 Obviously men are never going to fully understand.
22:44 No one's ever going to fully understand anything unless they experience it.
22:47 Men do not experience childbirth, labor, being at pause for nine, 10 months.
22:54 Believe it or not, men experience postpartum depression too.
22:57 It's just obviously a little different.
22:59 Things change after you have a baby.
23:02 That evokes other emotions.
23:05 But women, oh my God, we endure so much.
23:11 Postpartum depression is a topic or a feeling we don't really understand ourselves.
23:19 A lot of women-
23:20 This is your first kid.
23:21 This was my first kid.
23:22 You don't have anything to draw back from.
23:23 This is the first time you're feeling that.
23:24 Right.
23:25 Yes.
23:26 You're feeling everything.
23:27 But you just know you're not 100% and you're not right.
23:31 It takes a few too.
23:32 It takes a few to diagnose and be like, "Oh, wait a minute.
23:36 I'm depressed."
23:37 Your body's different.
23:39 Your relationship with your partner is always different after having a baby.
23:42 It's just inevitable things.
23:45 And then you hear that you're supposed to feel all these things as a mother.
23:50 And then sometimes you don't and you feel guilty.
23:53 Oh my God, this is a world of emotions.
23:56 Like mom guilt?
23:57 Yeah, mom guilt or stressed out.
24:02 I remember bringing my baby home the first morning I woke up and I was like, "What am
24:07 I going to do with this?
24:10 That's it.
24:11 I can't give this to nobody."
24:13 It was crazy.
24:14 Anyways, what can a man do to help?
24:19 Literally that, help.
24:23 Yo hay mucho hombre vago.
24:28 We signed up for this.
24:29 Okay, yeah, we decided we're going to have this baby.
24:31 But ooh baby, the things we have to deal with, the changes in our body.
24:38 And then when you give birth, your body never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever again, ever goes
24:44 back to being the same.
24:46 That body that you've known your entire life, that shit is mind blowing to me.
24:51 The body that I've had for 24 years when I got pregnant, forget it.
24:55 My knees is different now.
24:58 My feet stood swollen.
25:00 I went up a whole size.
25:02 My back from the epidural, I have back pains.
25:05 I can't do certain movements.
25:06 When I work out, I can't lift certain things.
25:09 Just a whole bunch of fucking weird shit that you just stay stuck with.
25:13 So what can the guy do to help?
25:15 Yeah, I can't do shit.
25:17 No, I'm joking.
25:19 Literally help.
25:22 Literally any moment that you, "Oh, I can help her," do that.
25:27 Almost like fucking kiss the ground a woman walks on.
25:31 Just help.
25:33 Don't get comfortable.
25:34 I feel like men get comfortable when they think, "Oh, women are supposed to be cooked."
25:37 No, it's a wrap for all of that.
25:40 Help me.
25:41 I need to make dinner.
25:42 Take the child.
25:43 The child is crying.
25:44 Why do you have to wait for me to go?
25:46 I'm not talking about from personal experiences, but just in general.
25:50 All we want is help.
25:52 Oh, man, you're the dad.
25:56 Help me.
25:57 Help.
25:58 You know what help means?
25:59 Google help.
26:00 Porque ven acá.
26:01 I thought we were doing this.
26:04 Now you're just up and down working, and I'm just home with the baby by myself.
26:07 Now what?
26:08 It's a lot.
26:09 It's a lot.
26:10 Women have to find themselves after having a kid.
26:11 That's another thing too.
26:12 That's why I say literally help.
26:14 Babe, you want to get your hair done?
26:17 Babe, like a friend.
26:19 Be like a friend.
26:20 If I were to call my sister, my best friend, that's what we want in our partners.
26:25 But people forget and get comfortable and think that the women got it because we could
26:29 do it all, but that ain't fit us.
26:31 Love and hip hop seems to be a great place to kick start a music career.
26:37 Cardi B's got to do amazing things.
26:40 What advice would you give to the next generation of artists coming onto the show trying to
26:45 make a name for themselves?
26:52 Just be serious about your shit.
26:55 You know what's crazy?
26:56 A lot of people think that ... I mean, it's love and hip hop, so the show revolves around
27:01 music and there's a lot of artists on the show.
27:03 But people think that you got it a little bit easier or you're a few steps ahead of
27:09 the game because you're on the show.
27:11 And yeah, you're on a bigger stage, but the truth is a lot of people don't take you serious
27:16 because you're on the show.
27:17 So you kind of got to work a little bit harder to show them that you are, because there's
27:21 always a new artist on that motherfucker.
27:24 That's great.
27:25 I love that everybody is getting their own bag and doing whatever the fuck they want
27:30 to do.
27:31 If you rap, you better fucking rap.
27:33 You better rap.
27:34 You know what I'm saying?
27:35 So be serious and stay focused.
27:40 You already know this industry is very fickle.
27:44 You got one shot.
27:46 Is you really doing this?
27:47 Should we really vouch and support you or are you just playing around?
27:51 People don't like to be played with.
27:53 So just take your artistry serious and don't stop.
27:58 If this is what you're doing, don't stop.
28:03 What else you going to do?
28:04 This is what you want to do, right?
28:06 Just do it.
28:10 Let everybody know what they need to be streaming right now.
28:13 Right, right now.
28:14 Come, come, come, come.
28:15 You got to stream that comment, baby.
28:18 You got to stream it.
28:19 You got to download it.
28:20 You got to share it.
28:21 I need this to be worldwide.
28:24 I really see this song being played in a lot of people's homes.
28:29 It's just that kind of perreo that just makes you want to like, "You know what?
28:34 I'm going out tonight, bitch.
28:35 Get ready.
28:36 Let's go.
28:37 Fuck this."
28:38 That's the energy that I want.
28:41 Well thank you for giving us the time here at Soul.com.
28:45 I learned a lot.
28:46 Did you?
28:47 I learned a lot.
28:48 That's good.
28:49 I learned a lot about you.
28:50 I learned a lot about women.
28:51 I learned a lot about your struggles.
28:55 Thank you.
28:56 And I definitely, I respected you a lot coming in.
28:59 But now it's like I have a whole new different level of respect for you because we hear the
29:05 details about how hard it is being a woman and having a baby and being an artist.
29:12 That is really on the main stage right now.
29:14 Yeah.
29:15 It's never a small thing.
29:16 Like all jokes aside, women need to get their flowers.
29:19 For real, for real.
29:20 It's not easy at all.
29:22 Even if you are in a relationship with your partner, it's just not easy, period.
29:26 You add all that other stuff, my God, it is difficult.
29:29 So thank you for recognizing that, for real.
29:32 And of course, you already know I got to give that drop for my music.
29:37 We working on the Latin project right now because everybody keep asking me, "Are you
29:42 staying here?
29:43 Is this your lane?
29:44 What you doing?"
29:45 And I'm just like, "Si, claro que si."
29:46 That's your lane, bro.
29:47 Ya lo encontre.
29:48 No, como es.
29:49 Let me tell you something.
29:53 I grew up around reggaeton music.
29:54 My brother, that's all he used to do.
29:57 He built a studio in his house and all you would hear is...
30:01 I was young, I was 10.
30:04 They wouldn't let me go in that room because you know, perreo reggaeton, you talk all that
30:08 nasty shit.
30:09 This is where you let loose.
30:10 So the fact that I'm doing it now, it's so special to me.
30:16 So definitely working on the Latin project and I signed myself to La Santana Music.
30:22 So I am my own artist.
30:23 You had the balls.
30:24 You had the balls to sign yourself and open up a new company and a tax ID number.
30:34 Everything.
30:35 I literally bet on myself.
30:38 Literally.
30:39 Literally bet on myself.
30:42 You literally bet on yourself and you invested in yourself.
30:45 Yeah.
30:46 That's amazing.
30:47 I quedare sin miedo.
30:48 So keep doing what you're doing.
30:49 Thank you.
30:50 And we're going to keep supporting you.
30:52 Thank you.
30:53 I appreciate it so much.
30:54 I'm DJ Dubs.
30:55 This is The Sauce on So.com.
30:59 Super saucy with Sin Santana.
31:01 Bye.
