00:00 Hello, this is Greg Wright, I'm the Deputy Business Editor for the Yorkshire Post.
00:05 I'm here at the River Wharf in Ilkley and as you can see after the storm overnight,
00:11 the river is extremely high.
00:15 These are scenes here in the River Wharf as it passes through Ilkley over the main bridge
00:22 and you can see here the signs of the impact of the storm last night as we pan around.
00:32 River is extremely high and it's coming down very quickly as the water runs off the moors
00:39 following the storm last night.
00:41 It's an insight into how much rain fell last night during Storm Jocelyn.
00:48 Looking across there you can see the area in front of me a few days ago was open, people
00:56 were standing on the area in front of me as a small beach but now after the storm you
01:03 can see how high the river has risen and how close it's got, how much is encroaching on
01:10 the parkland around me.
01:12 So an insight here into how much rain has fallen over the last few days with two storms
01:21 arriving in quick succession here in Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales and the impact it's
01:25 having on water levels as you can see here around me.
01:31 There's some flooding in the fields around as well so water levels really high here and
01:39 the water is flowing quickly as it comes down the valley following two really severe storms
01:47 in the space of 48 hours here in Ilkley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
