00:05 as the new lunar year approaches, want their photos in the middle of the bright colored sticks.

00:10 Throughout Southeast Asia, many families live off the making of bamboo incense sticks,

00:16 whose know-how is passed down from generation to generation.

00:20 But in Cang Phu Co, near the capital Hanoi, North,

00:23 some craftsmen have added a touch of modernity to their centennial technique.

00:28 In addition to traditional red,

00:30 Dang Thi Hoa uses yellow, blue and green colors to enhance his offering

00:34 and satisfy visitors who come for an Instagram post.

00:37 "I am proud of the traditional know-how of our family,

00:40 and I am also happy that our village is becoming more known,"

00:43 the 45-year-old woman, involved in the making of incense for three decades, declares.

00:52 The villagers ask for 50,000 dongs, about 2 euros, to access the photogenic area.
