Yung Miami from the popular hip-hop group City Girls shared the heartwarming moment when her mom was released from jail and welcomed home by her family.

In 2017, Keenya Young was sentenced to five years in prison for her role in a hit-and-run accident from 2009. When Keenya and a friend were accused of stealing purses from a Florida mall, they led police on a car chase that resulted in a crash, killing another driver.

Yung Miami tweeted recently that she was 22 years old with two kids when her mom went away, before her rap career took off with City Girls partner JT.

Since 2018, the City Girls have had two platinum-selling singles, “Twerk” and “Act Up.” They’ve had two albums that have charted on Billboard, and the duo has collaborated with stars like Cardi B, Doja Cat and Lil Kim, among others.

In addition to JT, friends of Yung Miami’s including Trina, Quavo and La La Anthony showed their support on social media.
