The Buffalo Bills were unable to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, even at home, so who is to blame for yet another failure to advance past Patrick Mahomes and company?
Transcript
00:00 I'm blaming the Kansas City Chiefs for the Buffalo Bills losing.
00:03 I would have gone with Sean McDermott, but the fact that that play, the fake punt, didn't
00:08 turn out to be fatal for Buffalo in that instance.
00:12 You know, you look around, I thought Josh Allen was pretty much awesome.
00:14 He may have missed one throw underneath late, but Diggs dropped a beautiful 60-yard bomb
00:21 and overall, Allen played great.
00:23 I just think that the Chiefs beat them and sometimes it's as simple as that.
00:27 No.
00:28 It was the ... You know, I blame the moment.
00:32 I think the moment was too big for the Bills.
00:35 I feel like this was finally their time.
00:37 Y'all had the Chiefs at home with everybody going to that game thinking, "Hey, maybe they
00:41 finally get them this time."
00:42 We all talked about how if they would have had the extra possession in overtime, the
00:47 Bills would have had the opportunity to win that game.
00:52 But look at it now, the moment was clearly too big.
00:55 You had Diggs with the drop.
00:57 You have the missed field goal at the end, execution.
01:00 And I feel like the Chiefs have the advantage that they've been in this moment so many times
01:04 that the moment's never too big for them.
01:06 So even when that game gets tight and even in the wanes of like, "Hey, look, look, look,
01:11 the Bills look like they're about to go down the field to potentially tie the game or take
01:14 the lead," they never panicked.
01:17 And I feel like the Bills just, they pressed way too much because it's not just the moment
01:21 that, "Hey, this can get us to the ASU championship game."
01:25 It's also, "We could finally beat this guy in this team at home."
01:29 And this was too much.
01:31 But the Chiefs played their best game of the season when it mattered most because they've
01:34 been there before.
01:35 I mean, you look at Buffalo, I'm pointing out the individual mistakes in that game.
01:39 One is that sort of panic move by McDermott, but they were fortunate that got wiped away
01:44 by the fumble out of the end zone.
01:46 One is the Diggs drop.
01:47 There was another drop by a wide receiver.
01:50 Allen missed Diggs underneath on one throw and the kicker missed the field goal.
01:55 You add all those things up in a tight game, you lose.
01:58 Again, but that goes to my point, the moment, execution.
02:02 Like if you just do your job in those moments, Stephon Diggs, you've been like an all-pro
02:08 wide receiver.
02:09 Catch the ball, you're the kicker.
02:11 It's not like it was a 60-yard, it was a 44-yard field goal.
02:14 Just make the kick.
02:16 It wasn't even close.
02:17 Like if you do your job, at the least that game goes to overtime.
02:23 If Diggs catches that ball, he'll probably win that game.
02:26 So yes, I give the Chiefs credit because the moment wasn't too big for them, but the bills
02:31 are the reason they lost.
02:33 And the last person I'm blaming, by the way, is Josh Allen because I don't think they're
02:36 even in the realm of being competitive in that game, if not for him.
02:40 Oh, for sure.
