00:03 Is it fun to share your favorite coffee with an artsy experience?
00:08 Then this is a must try for you to visit Coffee RT in the town of San Juan, La Union.
00:15 Here, you can bond with your friends while enjoying the very cozy vibe
00:21 and appreciating the various artworks of the Filipino artists.
00:26 This is the vision of the owner, Ms. Hansel, when she started this business.
00:31 First, in the town of Makati, and now, it's also here in La Union.
00:36 It's actually a small art gallery concept.
00:42 The reason why I chose my concept to be an art gallery is because I'm expressing myself.
00:50 I'm a bit excited.
00:52 I always love learning new things.
00:54 I decided to make it an art gallery so that at least every month, we change the concept.
01:00 Every month, we support different groups of artists.
01:05 I can say that Ms. Hansel is also an artist to be considered.
01:10 And she shows that in all original recipes of the coffee she serves in Coffee RT.
01:18 Growing up, I saw my grandmother, my mother, and my father.
01:24 They cook food from scratch because my father is Ilocano and my mother is Kapampangan.
01:32 The coffee beans are locally sourced and most of the elements of their drinks are made in the Philippines and from scratch.
01:41 And you can definitely taste it in their house specialties like horchata manchado.
01:48 The flavor that we wanted to get from this drink is actually the pinipig and espasol.
01:54 Pinipig?
01:55 Yeah.
01:56 That's the inspiration.
01:57 Go!
01:58 If you want a simpler but rock and roll coffee that fits your taste, try this rock salt americano.
02:08 Rock salt because I'm using lingayen rock salt.
02:11 If you crave a festive Pinoy dessert, this Leche Brulee Latte is a must-try.
02:18 That one is inspired by our festive merienda which is Leche Flan.
02:24 As simple as that.
02:25 It has a bit of a taste of Vietnamese coffee called Café Tron.
02:29 The egg.
02:30 Yeah, egg yolk.
02:31 Their meringue macchiato is also famous here.
02:34 We recommend this for people who love drinking super strong coffee.
02:41 But if you want a little bit sweeter, that's what the meringue on top gives you.
02:46 The Leche Brulee Latte is made out of, we're using the egg yolk, right?
02:51 So I don't want to waste the egg white, so I created this one.
02:55 Oh, nice.
02:56 Very nice.
02:57 Very sweet.
02:58 And if you're looking for an all-out dessert, you can try this Leche Flan Affogato.
03:04 That one is a locally made ice cream.
03:08 Leche Flan ice cream and then the milk that they use is coconut milk.
03:13 I can really taste the coconut.
03:15 Yeah.
03:16 It's delicious.
03:17 Our food explorer, Hailey, seems to be enjoying her coffee experience here at Coffee RT.
03:25 Especially when she tries their OG Pinoy candy.
03:29 This is a typical candy that you can buy during our time.
03:35 This is called Balikutcha.
03:37 Balikutcha.
03:38 Yeah.
03:39 So it's like, well, it's meringue.
03:42 Yup.
03:43 That is very sweet.
03:45 It makes the coffee thicker.
03:48 It has a little foamy effect.
03:51 It's like that.
03:52 It's a very unique coffee experience to bring drinks here for all art and coffee lovers.
03:58 And if you haven't tried Coffee RT here in San Juan La Union, where have you been?
