00:00 I'm sorry, but you can give me this over lobster any day.
00:04 If you have a special occasion coming up
00:05 or you're looking for an easy, elegant dinner,
00:07 shrimp oregano is the answer.
00:09 I'll show you how to make it.
00:10 You've gotta start out with colossal shrimp
00:12 or just the largest shrimp you can find.
00:14 Clean out the digestive tract
00:15 and then you're going to cut it almost all the way through
00:19 but not quite and then butterfly it open.
00:22 Shrimp are cleaned and ready to go.
00:23 Now we're going to marinate them
00:25 in this just delicious marinade,
00:27 starting with some extra virgin olive oil
00:29 and white wine, some garlic, some parsley,
00:33 some lemon zest, a little crushed red pepper
00:37 and then of course, oregano.
00:39 Forgot the salt.
00:40 Give that a little stir and then toss the shrimp in.
00:43 Okay, these will marinate while I make the topping.
00:48 What's not to love there?
00:49 Basically, these are gonna be roasted
00:50 with this lemony white wine sauce
00:52 and then some little breadcrumb cheesy topping.
00:55 You just gotta think like shrimp scampi
00:56 meets even more deliciousness, you know what I mean?
00:59 The topping is just more of the marinade ingredients
01:02 but also panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese
01:05 and instead of olive oil, this one starts with butter,
01:08 more garlic, little crushed red pepper,
01:11 a little more parsley and more lemon zest.
01:14 You can see where I'm going now.
01:19 Going to take the shrimp that I've been marinating
01:21 and place them with the cut side on top
01:24 and then we're going to fill them with our delicious topping.
01:27 So easy.
01:29 You know this is gonna be good.
01:31 These go into the oven at 450 degrees.
01:34 You want it really hot
01:36 because shrimp does not take that long to cook
01:37 so we just want it to kind of get crispy
01:40 and cooked like roasted, you know,
01:42 where it develops all that extra flavor.
01:44 The last minute, you might turn on the broiler
01:47 just to brown the tops.
01:48 Get your wine chilling.
01:50 Look at that right there.
01:53 That is yummy.
01:54 I'm gonna platter these up
01:56 and serve them with a little bit of lemon butter.
01:58 Cheers.
01:59 Mm.
02:01 I feel fancy.
02:05 If you ever see anything oreganata on a menu,
02:08 I'm telling you right now, order it
02:10 and if you've never made shrimp oreganata,
02:12 this recipe is a 10 out of 10.
02:14 I'm sorry, but you can give me this over lobster any day.
02:18 (beep)
02:19 Are you ready for it?
02:20 That's a big shrimp.
02:22 Hi.
02:23 Hi, Shikami.
02:24 (upbeat music)
