00:02 - Hello, my name is Ian Bonnot.
00:06 - And I'm Petr Tedgi.
00:07 And we are the directors.
00:09 - Of the film "Superman, The Christopher Reeve Story".
00:12 - So we were attracted to this film really
00:15 because it's about the ultimate screen superhero.
00:19 Christopher Reeve's Superman has never been surpassed
00:22 in our opinion.
00:23 And so that's one part of the story.
00:23 The other part of the story is he suffers
00:25 this tragic accident at age 42.
00:30 And I think he then becomes a true hero in life.
00:32 And so for us, counterpointing those two stories
00:35 was always gonna be the center of the film.
00:37 - We were very lucky because we worked very closely
00:41 with the family, which allowed us to access
00:43 an amazing treasure trove of archives.
00:46 The more time we spent with them,
00:47 the more we understood about their own personal journey.
00:50 We understood that the film would be about family, love,
00:53 and actually how the children are carrying on the legacy
00:57 way beyond the screen superstar.
00:59 - We really hope that this film will take you
01:09 on the same kind of very satisfying rollercoaster,
01:12 emotional journey that it's taken us on.
01:14 It's been very wonderful and moving film to make.
01:18 And it's gonna be premiering in the premiere strand
01:22 at Sundance.
01:23 - Thank you very much.
01:24 We hope you enjoy.
01:24 As Peter said, we hope you connect
01:26 and we cannot wait to meet you.
