Jaun Elia was a remarkable poet, philosopher, biographer, and scholar. Jaun Elia left an indelible mark on modern Urdu poetry, and today’s generation still loves and praises his poetry. Jaun Elia began writing poetry at the tender age of 8. However, Jaun Elia published his first collection, "Shayad," when he was 60 years old. Jaun Elia died on November 8, 2002, in Karachi and was buried in the Sakhi Hassan graveyard in Karachi, next to the graves of his brothers.
A 20-year-old boy has been taking care of the grave of John Elia day and night for the past ten years. This boy cleaned the grave daily and tried to maintain it.
