00:00 The Department of Agriculture is banning the importation of poultry products from California and Ohio to America

00:07 due to the outbreak of bird flu there.

00:10 In a statement, the ban was said to be implemented to prevent the entry of HPAI H5N1 virus in the country.

00:21 Aside from poultry products such as chicken and egg meat, live birds are also prohibited.

00:27 Sanitary import clearance for products from California and Ohio is also suspended.

00:34 The government first imposed the same temporary ban on products from Belgium and France.
