00:09 recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss their upcoming Netflix sci-fi drama
00:14 Three-Body Problem for a cover story. When Benioff and Weiss were pressed on whether there's anything
00:18 they wished they could go back and change about Game of Thrones, they brought up Mord the Jailer,
00:23 the thuggish guard who tormented Tyrion Lannister. "If you deliver a message from me,
00:27 to Lady Arryn, I will be in your debt." Benioff said, "One thing I know I wish we could have done
00:37 is there's the character Mord the Jailer. It was a mistake not bringing Mord the Jailer back into it.
00:42 We always talked about doing it," he added, "and we had the scene for it. There's a scene set in a
00:47 tavern." Weiss chimed in, "Was it Brienne or the Hound? But we realized too late that Mord could
00:51 have owned the tavern. We could have had that actor in the background acting exactly the way
00:56 he did as a jailer, except now as a small business owner. It was just such an obvious,
01:00 no-brainer, day-after idea." For the full cover story, go to THR.com. This is The Hollywood Reporter News.
