00:00 One of the blessings of Aletea is that every day when you open your email and receive the
00:07 Aletea newsletter, there you receive news about the world and about the Church, also
00:13 articles that teach us about the faith and how we can grow in living our faith.
00:19 But not only that, wonderful inspiring pieces that make us thankful and that really increase
00:25 our wonder and our joy about being a Christian and living for Jesus Christ.
00:32 And we need that help in our life.
00:35 So this Sunday in the Gospel we see Jesus passing by the Sea of Galilee and there he
00:39 sees these fishermen and he calls them and they follow.
00:44 And they follow almost instantaneously.
00:46 Why?
00:47 Because they recognize in this man something exceptional that they need for their life
00:53 to make sense, for it to be fulfilling and enriching so that they can really prosper
01:00 and thrive in life.
01:02 Because that following is really a way of being accompanied and that's at the very core
01:09 of what it means to be a human being.
01:11 And that's what Aletea wants to do for you, to give you that spirit of accompaniment so
01:18 that we can constantly grow, not just in our knowledge of the Church and of the faith,
01:25 but of our desire to live for what really matters, to live in freedom, to live in joy,
01:30 to live with a tremendous sense of God's graciousness, making things new in our life, to be part
01:38 of a community.
01:40 And we're so happy that you're part of the Aletea community.
01:43 And of course these disciples are going to go on to do that for others.
01:47 They're going to draw other people into the faith and that's what we want to do too.
01:52 So let's renew our commitment to be a follower of Jesus Christ, giving him our attention
01:59 and our heart and asking for him to fill our life with his life, to make all things new.
02:05 Amen.
