00:00 Giants teammates Saquon Barkley and Tommy DeVito are teaming up to send two Marriott
00:04 Bond Boy members on the ultimate VIP weekend, including an exclusive Vegas tea time and
00:10 tickets to the big game.
00:11 I'm Robin Lundberg and they join me now.
00:13 And guys, obviously, you know, in order to get to the Super Bowl, you got to win in the
00:18 playoffs.
00:19 I'm sure you would rather be there.
00:20 But was there any joy watching the Eagles and Cowboys division rivals get eliminated
00:26 on the same weekend?
00:27 Yeah, I think if you're a true Giants fan, you obviously are upset with the way the season
00:34 went.
00:35 But to look at the first wildcard playoff weekend and see the Eagles and Dallas to get
00:40 knocked down in the first round definitely does help.
00:43 Michelle knows that the NFC East is really up for grabs.
00:46 And, you know, you just got to get everything right for next year.
00:49 And, you know, you have a real shot at winning the whole thing.
00:53 Tommy, how about you?
00:55 How do you react?
00:56 You got any message for those Cowboys fans who might reside in Jersey?
00:59 For Giants fans, like they said, it's the best case scenario to see those two teams
01:03 knocked out this early.
01:04 So that's good for Giants Nation and I'm looking forward to the weeks to come.
01:08 How would you ideally see your return to the playoffs playing out?
01:12 Soon.
01:13 That's the goal.
01:14 Obviously, I've spoken before of how I feel about the Giants, but I get it.
01:20 It's NFL.
01:21 It's a business.
01:22 So, you know, whatever happens, you know, that's what it was meant to be.
01:26 And wherever I am up next, wherever I end up next year, my goal is to get everything
01:31 I got, play at a high level to help my team compete for Super Bowl and Mid-Tech playoffs.
01:35 Because like I said in my tweet, playoff football is fun.
01:38 It's a different level.
01:40 And as a competitor, you want to be a part of that.
01:42 It sucks watching even when Dallas and Philly lose in the playoffs.
01:46 It sucks watching at home.
01:47 And I'm itching and I can't wait to get an opportunity to get back there.
01:51 It doesn't matter what jersey you're wearing as long as you're playing in January.
01:55 Yeah, I mean, I think anybody would say that.
01:58 That's the goal.
01:59 You want to compete for Super Bowl.
02:00 And all you can do that's by making the playoffs.
02:02 So everyone knows, who knows me personally in Giants Nation, Giants fans know where my
02:07 heart is.
02:08 But like I said, it's a business.
02:09 I get it.
02:10 I understand it.
02:11 And my goal is to compete for Super Bowl and be in the playoffs next year.
02:15 Tommy, obviously you were a social media sensation, if you will, this year.
02:20 I saw you at the Nets game last night.
02:23 Maybe other than Taylor Swift, you might have been the most viral person associated with
02:27 the NFL this year.
02:28 What was the most awkward thing that happened as a result of that?
02:32 Who called you cutlets that shouldn't have or did this that shouldn't have?
02:37 Everybody it's kind of all over the place now.
02:39 Like you said, parents, people, coaches, people call me cutlets doing that.
02:44 I think it's kind of funny.
02:45 It's kind of throughout the locker room, whether I'm walking throughout the facility, on the
02:49 restaurants, wherever people walking around going like this.
02:51 I mean, I don't know.
02:52 I think it's all kind of cool and funny.
02:54 Show us how big the sport is.
02:57 Now as far as yourself going forward, obviously there's the NFL draft coming up there.
03:01 There's Daniel Jones and his status.
03:04 You have a specific goal in mind for your role as QB with the Giants.
03:09 Yeah, I could control what I can control.
03:11 Keep my head down and work like I've done.
03:13 It's kind of similar to the beginning of this year.
03:16 You know, didn't really know what exactly was going to go on.
03:19 Started off obviously on practice squad and then, you know, football's a violent game.
03:22 Injury is a part of it and got tossed into a role and I was ready for it.
03:26 But I was just going to continue to keep my head down and work, be ready for any situation
03:29 that might come about.
03:32 Now obviously part of that is the coaching staff and how they get you prepared.
03:36 And you know, when the season ends, there's always going to be stories and leaks coming
03:39 out.
03:40 We've seen it with the Eagles, seen it with the Cowboys, seen it with the Giants.
03:42 How would you assess the job Brian D'Abel and staff have done?
03:46 They've done awesome.
03:47 Obviously I don't really have any comparison as this is my first NFL team.
03:53 But from what I heard from everybody, they're top of the line.
03:55 And obviously me being around them, this is, you know, my standard as of right now for
04:00 a coaching staff.
04:01 But yeah, they did a tremendous job.
04:03 Whether it was Dave's bringing me in, even when I was on practice squad, having meetings
04:06 with me once a week, just talking, picking each other's brain, watching some games together.
04:10 And I think that helped when I was in the mix and when I was playing, I just helped.
04:14 I think those meetings really did a lot for that moment.
04:18 Now Saquon, we talked about, you know, the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
04:22 Obviously you guys beat the Packers who were still in there, but you've been around the
04:26 league for a long time.
04:27 With that in mind, do you have a particular Super Bowl prediction?
04:30 I think it's going to be the Ravens and San Fran, but that's the two top teams right now.
04:36 So that's probably the reason I would say that.
04:37 But like the playoffs, every year, whoever gets hot is a team you gotta worry about.
04:41 So it's fun.
04:42 I think it's really fun, especially on the NFC side.
04:46 You know, it's at the quarterback position is Bake, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, and Brock
04:50 Burdy.
04:51 So you really don't know who can come out on top out of those groups.
04:54 I think San Fran got the best team, especially with that defense and Deebo, Christian.
05:01 So I think they can come out the NFC and AFC.
05:04 The Ravens playing light side right now too, but anytime you got Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes
05:09 in the playoff race, you know, it could be dangerous too.
05:12 But if I had to pick right now, I would say San Fran and the Ravens.
05:15 And I think the Ravens get it done.
05:18 Obviously you guys are teaming up around the Super Bowl with Marriott Bonvoy members and
05:22 sending some people to the game to an exclusive tee time.
05:25 Can you guys tell us about what you're doing there?
05:27 Yeah, it's a dope experience where members get to bid their points for ultimate experience
05:33 to come with us in Las Vegas to golf, you know, have a fun round, talk some crap.
05:40 And also it's Super Bowl weekend in Vegas.
05:42 It's going to be fun.
05:43 Probably one of the best Super Bowls in a long time in Las Vegas.
05:47 Five nights a day, amazing food and a great opportunity to be with us and create some
05:52 memories.
05:53 Me and Tze talked about it's going to be a very competitive event.
05:56 It's going to be our first time golfing together.
05:59 So there's going to be some things on the line, but whoever has the opportunity to win
06:04 this experience, I'm looking forward to it and they better bring their best game.
06:08 All right, they can check out the Marriott Bonvoy moments and this exclusive package
06:14 as well.
06:15 Saquon, Tommy, appreciate your time.
06:17 Thank you.
