00:05 Hello, Pepsters! Welcome to the exclusive, fun interview of the hosts and director of Jagden Philippines Season 2.
00:13 First, we have Sasa Girl!
00:15 Hey!
00:16 Miss Nicole Cordoves!
00:18 Hey!
00:19 Director Rod!
00:20 Hello! Mabuhay!
00:21 And the recently awarded Best Entertainment Presenter, the mother, Manila Luzon!
00:27 Mabuhay!
00:29 Okay, for my first question, this is for Miss Nicole Cordoves.
00:35 What do you think you can do to let the people understand the art of drag?
00:40 I think the art of drag actually speaks for itself.
00:45 Like you can appreciate the beauty, the storytelling behind it.
00:48 It's something that needs no explaining.
00:51 That's how beautiful things work, honey.
00:54 Yes!
00:55 But I love that how through the show, we learn the deeper, even the darker side of drag.
01:03 You know, the stories that are hard to talk about, that we can't really speak out in the open.
01:10 So I feel like our queens are given much stronger voices with a bigger platform.
01:15 And I want to thank all the fans and viewers who watched us because of their support, our queens have a bigger voice.
01:23 It's an extension of our personality, of how we express ourselves, right, Miss Nicole?
01:30 Yes.
01:31 Next, this is for Miss Haza.
01:33 Yes.
01:34 What do you want to change in the culture or the behavior of influencers today?
01:40 Oh, you're making me say things!
01:42 I'm just kidding!
01:44 Now, actually, there are a lot.
01:47 There are a lot of people who have the same behavior as influencers.
01:50 The first one is?
01:51 Actually, one of the things is that a lot of influencers are just doing whatever it takes just to get clout.
02:01 Plus, they don't support any advocacy given a platform.
02:06 You have to contribute for the society, but a lot of content creators are not doing that.
02:15 Which is a very big mis-opportunity for us content creators.
02:20 Especially for the generation that really needs a purpose.
02:26 Gen Zs are looking for a purpose.
02:28 So, yeah, and being a part of a show like this, I can see that there's a purpose for it in society.
02:36 So, I'm very, very proud as a content creator that I can be a part of a show like this.
02:42 You know, I can contribute as well for my Naksheek.
02:47 Correct. You have a responsibility as a content creator.
02:51 Correct.
02:52 And this is for Direk Rod.
02:54 Direk, what's the new challenge that you faced during the shooting of this season?
03:00 I think because it's the second season, everybody's going to expect what's new and all of that.
03:08 It's a bigger challenge for us because when you have bigger resources or bigger budget to do a project,
03:16 there's a bigger responsibility for you to deliver.
03:20 So, that's one of our challenges.
03:23 Second, of course, it's always a challenge for any queer filmmakers out there,
03:27 Filipino queer filmmakers out there, to get the support that you need to continue to do more and all of that.
03:35 It's always a struggle for us.
03:37 But I'm very, very grateful for the support that we're getting.
03:40 And not just for the support of our audience, but also to the support of Prime Video, Cornerstone, Project 8,
03:46 and everybody who's going to watch and who watched Dragden from season 1 and now coming to season 2.
03:52 And for sure, we're going to enjoy this season.
03:54 Yes.
03:55 Thank you so much for the effort of the whole team that we have a show like this that we're going to show to people.
04:01 And this next question is for Mother Manila Luzon.
04:04 Bring it on, honey.
04:06 Is there something you miss about the drag from the time that you were just starting that you wish to see today?
04:14 Well, there are some things that are very different now that drag is given these platforms and mainstream audiences are able to see.
04:23 But you know what I do miss about my olden days of being in drag is I used to be like a superhero because I had a secret identity.
04:33 And now that we are watching drag on television, we get to see more members of the LGBTQ+ community telling their stories,
04:42 letting people relate to them at a deeper human level.
04:45 But we also see what they are out of drag.
04:49 And so I do miss, you know, having that like, oh, I can just take this all off and I can just be just a regular person.
04:56 But it is really nice to kind of put myself out there and let all these other drag queens put themselves out there.
05:02 And I know they're all loving getting recognized, even if they're not in drag.
05:06 Perfect. And now we're going straight to our game. This is Top of Mind.
05:11 I'm going to give you a question or situation and then you have to answer very quick.
05:17 Are you guys ready?
05:18 Ready!
05:19 That was an easy question.
05:21 Celebrity that you wish to see in full drag?
05:24 Piola Pascual.
05:26 I don't know. James Reid?
05:29 Piola Pascual. I'm putting him in drag.
05:32 Ann Curtis. She'll slay it.
05:35 Next. Most important makeup?
05:38 Eyeliner.
05:40 Foundation.
05:42 Lipstick because you can use that for like eyeshadow, rouge, and yeah, lipstick.
05:47 Blush on.
05:48 Blush on.
05:49 Makeup that you hated the most?
05:51 The ones I bought at Divisoria.
05:55 Eyeliner because it's hard to use eyeliner.
05:59 The lashes because no matter how good your makeup is, if you don't get the lashes right, you look like wonky.
06:06 Contour because I could never figure out how to do it right.
06:10 It's a challenge.
06:12 You don't reach it when your face is perfect.
06:13 You're either too tan or like…
06:15 Next. The boat is sinking. Who among the season 2 queens you would not save?
06:22 All of them. Gays.
06:25 Not save?
06:28 Marlene. I'll just say she's a girl.
06:31 Oh, she's still a girl.
06:34 I wouldn't save? Oh my God. Tough question.
06:41 I don't know. Maybe Rasha Fox.
06:44 Because she's extra. There's a lot to save.
06:48 I would not save Mrs. Tan because her fashions are too fierce for me.
06:55 I'm a little bit jealous of her fashions.
06:58 Rasha Fox because for sure, she has 14 suitcases.
07:02 That's true.
07:04 She comes with baggage.
07:06 For my last, give me one word that would best describe the show and make me say I'll definitely watch this show.
07:15 It's…
07:18 It's a blast.
07:19 It is.
07:21 Dragon Season 2 is retribution.
07:24 So they'll find out that there are two meanings of retribution.
07:29 Punishment and also the reward.
07:32 So they'll find it.
07:35 Exciting.
07:36 That was a lot of words.
07:37 Yeah.
07:38 I would say, Sasa girl.
07:40 She's a star. She's so entertaining.
07:42 She makes these queens talk and she starts the drama and I…
07:48 Yeah, Sasa girl.
07:50 I think transformational.
07:51 Not just in glam, but in their stories.
07:54 Thank you, thank you, Queen.
07:56 Thank you very much.
07:58 Leader.
08:00 I hope you enjoy, guys.
08:01 Thank you so much.
08:03 Thank you.
08:05 You're welcome.
08:06 (upbeat music)
