00:00 Hello, VIP scene enthusiasts.
00:02 I'm Travis Crone, an entertainment director

00:05 tuned in to the VIP scene, where we teach you how to live,
00:08 shop, and dine like your favorite celebs.
00:10 [music playing]
00:14 This week, we are taking it on down to the Big Easy
00:17 to see where celebs like to go when they're in New Orleans.
00:21 New Orleans is famous for extravagant parties,
00:23 culinary innovation, and, of course, Mardi Gras.
00:27 When the celebs head down south, let's check out
00:29 where they stay, eat, and shop in Crescent City.
00:33 First up, Hotel St. Vincent.
00:35 Taylor Swift is the best known, but not the only celeb
00:38 to stay at this hotel, which was originally built in 1861
00:42 and was formerly an orphanage that
00:44 has been transformed into a chic boutique hotel,
00:47 featuring decor from local artists,
00:49 artists in flea markets, and a Salito-lined pool
00:53 and cocktail lounge, all located in the Lower
00:56 Garden District of New Orleans.
00:58 Next up, Cafe Du Monde.
01:00 When in Nola, this historic bakery and coffee shop
01:03 is famed for its French-style beignets and caffe au latte.
01:08 The coffee is blended with chicory,
01:09 and the beignets are dusted in powdered sugar.
01:13 The original was established in 1862
01:16 and has drawn the likes of everyone
01:17 from Julia Child, Kim Kardashian, and Prissy Teigen.
01:21 And don't worry, the original location
01:23 is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
01:27 The Commander's Palace.
01:28 Nestled in the tree-lined Garden District,
01:31 this landmark restaurant has been serving new hot Creole
01:34 cuisine since 1893, featuring award-winning dishes
01:39 like the must-try turtle soup topped with a pour of sherry.
01:43 This institution is drawn in the likes of Sandra Bullock,
01:46 Gayle King, and Aisha Tyler.
01:48 But make sure you dress the part,
01:50 because this restaurant has a no-t-shirts, no-blue-jeans
01:53 dress code, and a dinner jacket is highly
01:56 preferred for gentlemen diners.
01:58 Next up is Brennan's.
01:59 For over 70 years, this charming restaurant
02:02 has been creating dishes that have been recreated
02:04 across the globe, including their bananas
02:07 foster and eggs hussard, which were both originally
02:11 created at the restaurant.
02:13 And the bananas foster is prepared table-side
02:15 and is drawn in the likes of Channing Tatum and Justin
02:18 Timberlake.
02:19 And that's it for this week's VIP scene,
02:21 New Orleans edition.
