00:09 I couldn't be prouder of the collective group of amazing artists that we got together to tell that magnificent story.

00:21 We knew that we needed the most extraordinary ensemble of the greatest actors in the world.

00:26 The world that Oppenheimer inhabits is filled with rock star scientists and I think because we have all these fantastic actors, you really buy that.

00:36 It was phenomenal. Every day there'd be this extraordinary actor and they all were so prepared.

00:43 And of course you have to raise your game every single day.

00:46 It felt like I was playing sports with some of the best athletes.

00:49 You just look around and every single person in the movie is somebody that you admire.

00:54 It is phenomenal how much actors gave of themselves.

01:00 Everybody brings everything they have in their arsenal because it's Chris.

01:04 I mean the cast is extraordinary and he just put together surprising casting as well which I love.

01:10 And I just felt everyone was given the freedom and the dialogue and the kind of story to rip the face off these characters in a wonderful way.

01:20 I felt like my entire peer group, some my contemporaries and some up and comers were all just there jamming, you know.

01:27 It's a group of really remarkable performers who are all stepping up to the mark in terms of the research they do.

01:36 And their belief that to be able to do work like this on important material is a real privilege.

01:42 We are the luckiest cast of actors in show business.

01:47 These actors had to come set every day with a really tight specific knowledge of what's their role in things.

01:53 So I was there on set, you know, surrounded by a team of actors who knew more than I did about what was going on from their point of view.

02:01 And that's what you're really looking for as a director.

02:04 That's such a special feeling to feel like it wasn't just a job that, yeah, we got this right.
