A man has died following an accident at a mine in central Queensland.

00:00 Authorities have confirmed that a 27-year-old man was pinned between vehicles at Siraji
00:06 Mine yesterday afternoon.
00:09 Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.30.
00:13 The man was transported to Dysart Hospital but died from fatal injuries.
00:17 He was a contract worker at the open-cut coal mine that's owned by BMA.
00:23 The mine is located to the nearest town, which is Dysart, a small town in central Queensland,
00:28 approximately three hours northwest of Rockhampton.
00:31 Operations at the mine have been suspended until further investigations.
00:36 BMA have confirmed they're working with the mine inspectorate on these investigations.
00:41 Resources, Safety and Health Queensland has also launched an investigation and members
00:45 from the Mining and Energy Union are on site.
00:48 The last fatality we know recorded at this mine site was on New Year's Eve in 2018.
