00:00 I'm Ellen Perez and here's a few things to get to know me.
00:02 I got into tennis when I was about seven years old.
00:11 I first picked up a Totem tennis racket when I was three
00:13 and I used to, for those of you who don't know,
00:15 it's kind of like a pole that sticks in the ground
00:17 with string and a ball attached
00:18 and I used to just go out there and, you know,
00:20 whack the ball around
00:21 and thought I had pretty good eye coordination.
00:22 So yeah, when I was seven, I finally got into tennis
00:25 and my dad kind of played a little bit
00:26 so he was pretty eager for me to start.
00:29 I grew up in Australia.
00:31 I was born in a kind of coastal town called Shell Harbour,
00:34 pretty small population.
00:36 I really enjoyed the Indian Wells and Miami Swing.
00:40 I think those are two really good tournaments
00:42 and being four weeks, you know,
00:44 you feel like you get some great weather,
00:45 some great food and great crowds.
00:47 I actually got a taste of skiing again when I was in Dubai
00:52 and I used to ski when I was younger.
00:54 So going to either maybe Japan
00:56 or somewhere in like the Swiss Alps or something,
00:58 going back and skiing would be kind of high up there, I think.
01:01 I enjoy kind of exploring, getting out and doing things.
01:06 I'm quite a thrill seeker, adrenaline.
01:09 I think doing something different like skydiving,
01:11 going on hikes, things like that are pretty cool.
01:13 Don't get a lot of time to do it,
01:15 but when I can, that's kind of what I would love to do.
