00:00 And we have two survivor queens who maybe have played games like that before.
00:05 I was so excited to see both of you in this castle.
00:08 And we see in the first episode a little bit of a truce,
00:11 as much of a truce could happen in a game like Traitors.
00:14 What were you guys thinking when you saw each other on this cast?
00:17 Well, my stomach dropped and Sandra comes out of the car with her finger in my face like this.
00:23 And I'm like, "Oh God, are we still not..."
00:24 Did I do that, Parvati? Oh my God.
00:26 Yeah, I was like, "We gotta stop meeting like this, girl, no."
00:30 Because we needed each other out there.
00:32 I mean, I didn't really know anybody besides for Sandra.
00:36 So we had to find a way to work together and not be at odds.
00:40 And I'm so grateful that Peppermint, you know, took it upon her beautiful self to bring us together,
00:45 help us shake hands and bury the hatchet very early on.
00:50 When, yeah, so like I said before, I was all smiles.
00:54 Peppermint was with me in the car and the minute I saw Parvati, just the smile totally went away.
01:02 And I remember looking at the glass.
01:04 Parvati, what I did was I touched the glass and I pointed at you like, you know,
01:09 and I was like, "Oh no, like not only now do I have to navigate this game,
01:14 but now I have to deal with Parvati as well."
01:17 But thanks to Peppermint that, you know, we chatted about it briefly.
01:23 I don't even think it was five minutes and I was ready to move on and we agreed to move on.
01:29 And when I agree to something, it's, you know, that's it.
01:32 So I was just hoping that me being honest about moving on was also the same with Parvati.
01:38 You know, like, you know, people tell you different things, but I was happy that Peppermint put us together.
01:43 We were able to bury the hatchet and hey, it's all great now.
01:48 Phaedra, my girl, tell me about being a traitor and did you have any sort of feeling
01:55 that you had to protect your fellow housewives?
01:57 What were you thinking when you were picked as a traitor?
02:00 I was hoping that I could be kind of a sweet traitor, like an angel traitor, I'll say.
02:10 You know, of course, that is the position that works the hardest
02:14 because everyone else is sleeping, you're killing the people.
02:18 But, you know, I wanted to make sure I did it justice from, I don't know, you know,
02:25 my perspective was very different probably from some of the other traitors
02:30 because, you know, I'm always going for the underdog.
02:35 However, I sort of came in at a disadvantage because I didn't know any of the gamers.
02:39 Yeah.
02:40 So, my fellow traitors were obviously gamers, so they knew people's strengths and weaknesses,
02:47 whereas I used my personal conversations with people to sort of determine
02:53 who I really wanted to protect or really wanted to play this game with.
02:58 Obviously, Phaedra becomes the, you know, housewife's traitor, at least in the beginning.
03:04 What were your thoughts on Phaedra as a traitor before, without giving too much away,
03:08 when you think about that, if you were going into it, what kind of traitor do you think Phaedra would be?
03:12 Well, working with Phaedra, with Noelle Phaedra from Housewives of Atlanta,
03:16 I mean, we know she can be a little mischievous, she can be, I mean, she's a good liar sometimes.
03:24 Oh!
03:26 I mean, I think that it's in our nature being housewives to be traitors in our core of being.
03:32 Yeah.
03:33 That's what we do for a living.
03:34 And she does things.
03:35 And the girls that were on were the ones that have been on for a long time.
03:40 So I didn't trust any of them.
03:42 Yeah. You didn't even trust me, Tamara.
03:45 I didn't trust you. No.
03:46 You didn't trust me either.
03:47 It's a funny thing. Like, you don't know.
03:50 Like, you know some people off camera, some people you don't.
03:53 I didn't know Max when we, I mean, of course, I knew him from the Dance With the Stars.
03:58 I've seen him at the Child Help charity event once.
04:01 But other than that, I didn't really, I didn't know him, so I didn't know his personality.
04:05 And so you're really looking at everybody's personality and how they change and they do anything different and all that.
04:10 And when it came to, you know, Chere, I was like, she seems to be acting a little bit different.
04:19 Me?
04:20 Yes, maybe. I think, but I think we all were.
04:23 Nobody trusts anybody.
04:25 I didn't feel like I changed who I was at all the entire time.
04:28 You were quiet.
04:30 I'm always quiet.
04:31 No, you're not. We've been to dinner.
04:34 I don't need to be quiet anymore.
04:36 But you know, I'm a bit of a... You're quiet? Who's gonna check me, boo? Is quiet?
04:40 I don't need to be quiet anymore.
04:42 John, can we talk about the breathing?
04:44 What was happening to you?
04:45 Was that your biggest mistake?
04:47 Was it your best move because it became such a thing?
04:49 What was going on?
04:50 It was always a mistake because you should probably be inscrutable.
04:56 Inscrutable. Give nothing away.
04:59 So it was probably a mistake because it led for a short period.
05:03 And I think the evidence is that it was for a short period.
05:06 So this suspicion, well, this is odd.
05:09 This is bishy. This is inexplicable.
05:12 This is possibly a sign in the absence of any other evidence that this guy's a traitor.
05:17 All it was, to be honest, was this. I passionately wanted to be a faithful.
05:22 I've made it clear in advance that I wanted and hoped, I have no guarantee, to be a faithful.
05:28 Alan walked around that room so many times in the blindfolded ceremony that it was quite sort of stressful.
05:36 And when it was over, you know, I breathed heavily.
05:40 And I think I do often breathe heavily and through my mouth.
05:45 And I was asked by Janelle, well, you know, what's going on?
05:48 And I said, well, you know, I've been asthmatic.
05:50 And then there was an issue, you know, do you use an inhaler?
05:53 No. Are you asthmatic now?
05:54 And I said, no. Look, historically, I was asthmatic.
05:57 I don't breathe very well. But frankly, you're putting two and two together and making five.
06:03 So it was a crass miscalculation. People thought that made me a traitor.
06:07 But did I make the mistake to do that? Yeah.
06:10 Janelle, what were your thoughts coming in?
06:12 What was your plan and who did you see that you were excited to potentially work with?
06:16 And who were you maybe a little intimidated by? Did anyone surprise you?
06:21 I was excited to see all the gamers, of course. I love games on strategy.
06:25 I love games that are thinking. So immediately I was very drawn to Parvati and Dan, of course.
06:32 And then I saw the Bravo people and MJ was so nice.
06:35 Like I really there was really no one in the cast that I could say, oh, yeah, I really wouldn't work with you.
06:40 Like I would work with anyone that would just be dumb not to, you know, it's a game on keeping yourself alive in that castle.
06:47 So my strategy, though, did you ask that?
06:49 Yeah, was to identify the traitors and work with them as long as I could to potentially either get recruited
06:58 or if it came down to it, get enough people together to go after them.
07:02 But I definitely didn't want to get like a real traitor like right away because it just seems kind of like dumb gameplay.
07:10 Like why would we get rid of someone like day one or two? That was actually a traitor.
07:15 They're just going to recruit. But if they don't recruit me,
07:17 they could recruit a really good faithful that I'm working with.
07:21 Very smart. MJ, what about you? Obviously, we had some fellow with some housewives, some fellow Bravo leberties.
07:26 Did you want to maybe go with them? Were you hoping to learn from some of the gamers?
07:29 What were you thinking when you were going in? I knew that if I were a traitor,
07:36 I would not be able to keep a straight face or even like a psychic.
07:40 Like I am like one of those nervous laughers. I would just no game face, no game face.
07:46 There would be no way I would probably, you know,
07:49 because like even that moment when we take our blindfolds off was so intense.
07:55 So it's just I was I was happy to just experience this very new thing with a lot of people in that room or strangers to me.
08:06 Even a couple of the Bravo labs were people that I had never met before.
08:11 So it was just like a brand new baby coming into the world.
