00:00 Speaking of cold on the heels of this weekend snow and a blizzard for some we're gonna be heading into the coldest week of
00:05 The year across much of the country Bernie Rayno and Accuweather long-range expert Joe Lumberg break down what to expect next week
00:12 After a week where we've been seen storm after storm after storm across the central US Joe
00:19 Next week it's going to be a little different weather pattern
00:23 It is indeed and I think the three things to know highlight that Bernie for next week the coldest week
00:28 We have seen so far this year by far and away
00:30 I mean
00:31 It's gonna be brutal in the Plain States and some of that cold air comes to the east and there's still a couple of storms
00:35 In this pattern and it will threaten the east will detail those and no significant rain for California
00:40 You're going to be devoid of storms next week. All right, let's take the storms one by one here
00:45 Let's take the early week storm Joe. Yeah, and you and I were talking off air Bernie
00:50 We kind of think that the pattern set up right now is right
00:52 There's cold air in the nation's midsection and there's probably gonna be an upper level trough of low-pressure
00:56 centered somewhere near the Mississippi Valley and there's going to be an area of low pressure that will come out of the Gulf of Mexico and
01:02 Head north eastward and right now we think that we're the cold air and the moisture interact
01:06 There's an opportunity for some snow across the Appalachians into the northeast. Maybe even to the I-94F corridor
01:12 That's just storm number one storm number two somewhat similar Joe
01:16 We have that Arctic air now a little farther south and east and another storm is going to try to cut its way through that
01:22 Yes, it is
01:23 And I think that that it's gonna take another path up the eastern seaboard the question is exactly where how much cold air is in
01:28 Play but again where the two interact
01:30 Somebody could be dealing with some snow in this general area late next week and into the start of the weekend somewhere that 19th
01:36 Or yeah, the 19th to the 20th time frame then we talk about Arctic air and that's going to become
01:42 Spreading south and east we've seen nothing like this so far this winter really have to go back to pre Christmas
01:47 2022 Bernie for this kind of cold air mass there you can see it Tuesday morning all the way down into Texas
01:52 And spreading into the Ohio Valley as you move forward in time that cold air will will weaken in the southern plains
01:58 But it will also expand to the east as we get to the end of the weekend next weekend
02:02 It will be pretty widespread across the nation's midsection affecting nearly 200 people appeal 200 million people
02:08 This is the worst that we've seen in a year and a half
