A dad has scooped a £3million home in a prize draw - after his family told him he'd 'only win a toaster'.

Michael Maher, 53, paid just £10 for an Omaze ticket and now has the keys to a mansion and £100K in cash.

Omaze officials contacted him to say he'd won a prize and his teen daughter warned him not to get too excited. Via SWNS.

00:03 I had a couple of calls with Joe on Friday.
00:19 My daughter's first reaction was it was probably a toaster.
00:21 Thankfully, it's a three million pound house.
00:24 To celebrate, we went and had a pint and then off to a curry.
00:28 A normal Friday night, except for the fact
00:30 we won a three million pound house.
00:32 We absolutely love the house.
00:34 It's gorgeous.
00:35 And although it's big, it still feels homely.
00:39 The entrance hall is just massive,
00:40 with the open plan kitchen and the living space.
00:43 It's just absolutely to die for.
00:45 The tennis courts, we might have to take up tennis.
00:48 The children have asked if they can quit their Saturday jobs,
00:51 and they've been told no.
00:53 If they want a Saturday job, there's
00:54 plenty to do in the garden.
00:56 I have a big family all over the world.
00:58 I'm sure they'd all love to come and stay.
01:00 That's if I tell them where their address is.
01:02 Just to win the house is a dream come true.
01:04 It secures our future.
01:05 It helps secure our children's future as well.
01:08 It's just phenomenal.
01:10 Cocker Spaniel's going to love that garden.
01:12 I have to put a bell on him.
01:14 We've been subscribing for a little while now,
01:16 and it's always good to be able to help out
01:18 different charities, especially this month being the RSPCA,
01:21 as we're pet lovers.
01:24 Wow.
01:25 I'm absolutely gobsmacked.
01:26 Raising £3.5 million has completely
01:29 surpassed our expectations.
01:31 The incredible amount of money raised by this partnership
01:33 with Omaze will enable the RSPCA to continue
01:36 carrying out its vital work and ensure our rescue officers can
01:40 keep helping animals in desperate need of care.
01:42 This £3.5 million will keep 50 inspectors and animal rescue
01:47 officers on the road for a whole year.
01:50 So if you're a pet lover, you're going
01:51 to want to be on the road for a whole year.
01:53 So thank you, everyone.
01:55 The partnership with Omaze not only
01:57 raised an unbelievable amount of money,
02:00 but also creates huge awareness for the important work
02:03 that we do.
02:04 We're absolutely thrilled the Somerset House draw
02:07 has achieved our biggest ever raise,
02:10 with an incredible £3.5 million for the RSPCA.
02:15 This means the Omaze community has now
02:17 raised over £28.5 million for good causes across the UK.
02:25 To go from a rented house in the outskirts of Luton
02:29 to this six-bedroom house in the countryside, it's mind-blowing.
