00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:03 Turn it up!
00:10 Whoa!
00:16 That's right.
00:20 We could spend all day just counting down till 7 o'clock.
00:25 But girl, why wait for the moon to rise and the sun to dry?
00:29 Slip on off to the country, six pack and no six string.
00:34 We could still a little later on,
00:36 and oh, but girl, don't you think it's about about now?
00:41 Sounds like a good time to hammer on down and get this
00:46 fast.
00:47 Y'all ready to run out second fast?
00:49 Don't want to let one second pass.
00:52 It's about about now.
00:54 Sounds like a good time to earn a little gas
00:58 back on a black road when we're going to come back.
01:00 Baby, who knows?
01:01 Any minute with you, any day, all night.
01:04 Sounds like a good time.
01:05 You know what I think?
01:10 We've been talking about this way too long.
01:13 So let's turn that key, because I
01:16 ain't seeing nothing wrong.
01:17 It's about about now.
01:20 Sounds like a good time to hammer on down and get this
01:25 fast.
01:26 Y'all ready to run out second fast?
01:29 Don't want to let one second pass.
01:31 It's about about now.
01:34 Sounds like a good time to earn a little gas
01:37 back on a black road when we're going to come back.
01:39 Baby, who knows?
01:40 Any minute with you, any day, all night.
01:43 Sounds like a good time, baby.
01:46 What keeps bringing you back to Noongar?
01:48 Just such a good community.
01:51 Just a quality day on the beach.
01:53 Play a bit of cricket.
01:54 What else can you say?
01:55 It's a good atmosphere anyway.
01:57 There's plenty going on, plenty of teams here.
01:59 Made a really good night, actually.
02:01 It's been a great day.
02:02 Everyone's having a go.
02:03 All the kids are in there, and everyone's
02:05 happy to let the kids have a go.
02:07 Really supportive out there on the fields.
02:09 It's really good.
02:09 I like the fact that Cheryl's remembered
02:12 and that money's being raised.
02:14 It's a great community out here.
02:16 I can't believe it.
02:17 We're truly humbled.
02:19 I can't believe that people travel
02:20 so far for our little event.
02:24 Obviously, the love of Cheryl and the love of good country
02:29 hospitality, I suppose.
02:30 Just keep coming back.
02:31 Today, we're raising funds for Are You Bogged Mate,
02:34 which is raising awareness for mental health in the bush.
02:36 How important do you think that is?
02:38 Oh, it's very important.
02:39 I've got a few mates going through rough times themselves.
02:42 And plenty of fellas out there not talking about it.
02:45 So the more we raise awareness of it,
02:47 the more those fellas out there that don't really have a voice
02:50 can find their voice and ask for a little bit of help.
02:53 Letting blokes know, but everyone
02:55 know that there's someone to talk to.
02:57 So important.
02:59 Years ago, it was taboo.
03:00 You wouldn't talk about a weakness,
03:01 all that sort of stuff.
03:03 But it's really come to the fore,
03:04 and it's just so, so important.
03:06 It's a bloody cracker, because us blokes,
03:09 we're all pretty tough and macho when you want to be.
03:11 But I think it shines a light on a pretty serious issue
03:16 in the bush.
03:16 And they need to realize that it's OK to ask for help.
03:20 It's OK.
03:21 Sometimes we need help.
03:24 If we can just raise awareness to help one person,
03:27 it's been totally worth it.
03:28 [MUSIC - THE KING, "I GOT 400"]
03:29 Feels like a good time.
03:31 I got 400.
03:32 We're set.
03:32 Back up.
03:33 [INAUDIBLE]
03:34 $100 quick.
03:35 Bidding done.
03:35 We're not going to hang and wait.
03:37 All of us, $2,100.
03:38 Bidding done.
03:39 We're done.
03:39 $2,100.
03:41 Yes, it's a funny old game, this cricket.
03:43 I heard the commentator say, as I watched the test match
03:46 at Melbourne that was held on Boxing Day.
03:49 But I wonder what all those people who
03:51 watch the Aussies play would think if they ever
03:54 came to see a game that's played the Noongar way.
03:56 [MUSIC - THE KING, "I GOT 400"]
03:58 Ooh, ooh, ooh.
04:01 Could have thought about it now.
04:04 It sounds like a good time.
04:06 We're up here at the 2024 Cheryl Cinnamon Memorial Cricket
04:11 Day at Noongar.
04:12 And guess what?
04:14 As usual, it's turned out to be a fantastic day.
04:17 We've got a heap of teams out there playing
04:19 some good cricket today.
04:21 And now we're here enjoying the live music,
04:24 getting on the beers, doing what we all should be doing.
04:27 So cheers to that.
