00:00 We all did our ins and outs for 2024, but what about what is in for makeup trends this year?

00:09 Yes, thank you for having me.
00:11 I'm so excited to talk all 2024 trends.
00:13 I love when you're here because I feel like I trust you so much when it comes to makeup,
00:18 and I kind of am boring with my makeup.
00:21 No way.
00:21 Your makeup looks amazing all the time.
00:22 Oh, you're so sweet.
00:23 But I feel like I always do the same thing.
00:24 Yes, we get in a rut.
00:25 Absolutely, because it's something you do every single day.
00:28 It's part of your routine.
00:29 You kind of don't think about how you can update it.
00:32 Change it.
00:32 Yes.
00:32 And sometimes the update's scary.
00:34 Like, oh, we're going to do blue mascara.
00:36 How are we going to wear blue mascara?
00:37 How are we going to wear espresso makeup?
00:39 But let's talk about it.
00:40 Absolutely.
00:40 OK, so what are we starting with?
00:41 So we're going to start with Barely There Blush.
00:43 Maybe like these big trends are not for you, but you can do a teeny bit.
00:47 Minimalistic, really functional beauty is 2024.
00:51 OK.
00:51 So smile.
00:52 We're going to pop that little tiny bit of a cheek color that kind of matches her lip color.
00:57 So Barely There, but you can see that it gives the skin a really pretty, bright, lifted look.
01:03 Absolutely.
01:04 And then just this way, just a little bit.
01:05 So you can kind of see that it brightens up the under eyes.
01:08 A long time ago, Bobby Brown used to say, if you have a nice cheek color,
01:11 it makes you look like you slept eight hours.
01:13 So a little bit of cheek color goes a long way.
01:15 So Barely There Blush is an easy way to do it.
01:17 OK, so I have a question about this, because I feel like we are kind of hearkening back to
01:22 the trends of the 90s.
01:24 And we've talked about this before.
01:25 But it's a little bit less.
01:27 It's a little more underplayed.
01:28 Yeah, understated.
01:30 Everyone is doing less now.
01:31 And we love that.
01:32 OK, so even though this is monochromatic, let's talk less.
01:34 This whole palette has everything you need.
01:36 So your mascara and a couple brushes and you're ready to rock.
01:38 Oh, wow.
01:39 And as you can see, everything is very monotone.
01:41 So the shadows are very similar color, even the bronzers, which when you look at bronzers,
01:46 they can go red, they can go yellow.
01:47 These are all still have that cool undertone.
01:49 So let's give it a little more oomph.
01:51 We're going to take a little bit more.
01:53 And we're still going to play on the apple of the cheek here and then brushing down and back.
01:58 And so what we want to do is this minimalistic part of it, this little bit of it that is
02:03 monochromatic, it just means everything matches.
02:05 So I always use my blush for everything or my bronzer for everything.
02:09 So but this does have a little bit of a pink color in it.
02:12 So I'm going to take a little bit of this, but it's light.
02:13 So I'm going to take a little bit of that that blush, too.
02:16 And we're really going to go in close and we're just going to swipe it across anywhere
02:20 you can feel your eyeball.
02:21 Literally everything matches.
02:23 And honestly, if I was doing this at home, I probably would use my fingers just because
02:27 I'm a fingers girl.
02:28 So swipe it on the pad of your finger and just put it anywhere you can feel your eyeball.
02:33 So you can see I'm not going higher to her brow, but now everything matches.
02:37 So, so pretty.
02:37 It's so easy to use.
02:39 It does.
02:39 It ties everything in.
02:40 And I love that you're giving us the tips of so you go with the blush down and back.
02:44 So we're on the eye.
02:46 Yep.
02:46 Down and back down.
02:47 I anywhere you can feel your eyeball.
02:50 And if your brush is still on your eyeball, but the top of your brush is a little bit
02:53 higher, it's kind of doing that blending work for you.
02:56 So it's super, super easy.
02:58 So all monochromatic again, that really simple look.
03:02 She's also Haley Bieber is really rocking that ombre lip again, but it's not the ombre
03:08 that we used to do.
03:09 It's a very simple ombre.
03:10 So what we're going to do is we're just going to line with a neutral lip color.
03:14 Okay, just literally the actual lip line.
03:16 We're not going to above or below because again, we're keeping it simple.
03:19 And you can see that this lip liner just outlines her lips just a teensy bit, but it's not too
03:24 much.
03:25 And then we're going to pick a color almost identical to the blush color and we're going
03:28 to add it.
03:29 So honestly, remember those days when we would line with much darker?
03:32 Oh yeah.
03:32 This isn't exactly the same.
03:34 It's ombre, but really like easy to do.
03:38 Easy to do.
03:38 Very simple.
03:39 And look at how natural and beautiful that looks.
03:41 And she just looks really pulled together.
03:43 Yeah.
03:43 Just what you've done on her face.
03:44 Those few little simple additions have already made her face really pop.
03:49 Right in the way.
03:49 Absolutely.
03:50 Okay.
03:50 So what are some other trends?
03:52 So my makeup is espresso.
03:54 I use this entire palette.
03:55 This is a palette I use all the time.
03:56 We've probably talked about it before.
03:57 This palette's $9 from Ulta and literally will last you until you don't want to wear
04:02 it anymore.
04:02 Wow.
04:03 That is such a great deal.
04:04 And so I use my eyeshadow as this.
04:06 My eyeliner is this.
04:08 My cheek color is this.
04:09 My bronzer is this.
04:10 Wow.
04:11 I even lined my lips with this.
04:13 I know that sounds insane, but you take a teeny bit and you just swipe it under that
04:18 bottom lip line and it kind of creates a shadow.
04:20 Like, oh, my lip is so big.
04:22 It has a shadow.
04:22 Yes.
04:23 It gives you even more.
04:24 That's incredible.
04:25 Exactly.
04:25 And sometimes I'll take a little swoop on my Cupid's bow, which kind of creates a shadow.
04:29 Like, again, like your lips have more shape than they probably do.
04:32 So.
04:33 Okay.
04:33 So this is the espresso.
04:35 Are we also doing an espresso lip?
04:36 Yes, an espresso lip.
04:37 And this one seems scary because it's like such a dark color.
04:40 It feels dark.
04:41 Yeah.
04:41 It's that Dior, but it's really sheer.
04:44 It's almost not even a dip.
04:45 Almost translucent.
04:46 That's beautiful.
04:46 And so I put it on everyone that really has.
04:49 Show a little bit more of that so that we can see.
04:51 That's gorgeous.
04:51 I feel like I'm trying to show up, but it's so light that you think like, gosh, that could
04:55 not be that, but that's it.
04:56 That's the lip color we did before.
04:58 And that is just this really barely there espresso.
05:01 So it's an easy way.
05:02 Look at how beautiful that comes out.
05:03 To go espresso without going too much.
05:04 And when we think espresso, if you like to go to dark makeup, this is your shot.
05:08 Okay.
05:08 But if you don't, it doesn't have to be like super dark.
05:12 Super dark.
05:12 Okay.
05:13 Yes.
05:13 I love it.
05:14 And lastly, this is kind of a big trend.
05:16 Yes.
05:17 Tell me about the colored mascara.
05:18 Colored mascara is crazy.
05:19 This is just an espresso Brown.
05:22 I've been wearing Brown for like the last four months because it is, it gives a little
05:26 bit of color.
05:27 It kind of shows you like we need to pop a little color on, but not too much.
05:31 And so blue is not your thing.
05:32 Brown's not your thing.
05:33 This is burgundy and it is absolutely gorgeous.
05:36 I feel like these two colors are a great way to do this trend without going over the top
05:41 because a red mascara, a blue mascara, that's a lot.
05:44 But these are two great ideas.
