Ah, Split/Second! That was a fantastic, high-octane arcade racing game released in 2010. It was set in the fictional reality TV show of the same name, where racers competed on destructible tracks filled with explosive set pieces.
The game's main mechanic was the "Power Play" system. By performing stunts and driving aggressively, players could fill up their Power Play meter. Once full, they could trigger devastating environmental events that could take out opponents, create shortcuts, or even change the entire layout of the track.
