Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger was bizarrely spotted pinching Alvaro Morata’s nipple, during their 5-3 win after extra-time over city rivals Atletico, in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals.
Rudiger has gained a reputation for his unconventional approach against opposition forwards in recent seasons.
The German international latest antics came in the eight-goal thriller in Saudi Arabia.
Rudiger was seen pinching Morata's nipple, provoking an angry reaction from the 31-year-old.
Morata responded by pushing Rudiger away as the defender continued to laugh in his direction.
The incident occurred despite Rudiger and Morata having both been team-mates at Chelsea for two seasons between 2017 and 2019 before the latter moved to Atletico Madrid on loan.
Remarkably, Rudiger had previously been the victim of a similar act at the hands of an Atletico player in 2021.
On that occasion, then Atletico Madrid star Luis Suarez pinched Rudiger's thigh while the defender played for Chelsea in the Champions League.
The defender promptly responded by squaring up to the Uruguayan, forcing the pair to be separated.
Rudiger was on the scoresheet at both ends during Wednesday's Spanish Super Cup semi-final.
The defender leveled with a header in the 20th minute after Mario Hermoso had given Atletico Madrid the lead.
Real Madrid took the lead through Ferland Mendy before Antoine Griezmann scored a club-record 174th goal for Atletico and a Rudiger own goal saw Atletico turn the match around.
Dani Carvajal's late equalizer forced extra time, with Real clinching a 5-3 win after a Stefan Savic own goal and Brahim Diaz strike.
Carlo Ancelotti's side awaits the winners of the second semi-final between Barcelona and Osasuna in Riyadh.
The final will take place on Sunday.
