00:00 (upbeat music)
00:02 - It's a Wisteria Lane reunion
00:04 as Desperate Housewives stars Eva Longoria
00:07 and Jesse Metcalf reunite in Sin City.
00:10 - I want you so bad.
00:12 When can I see you again?
00:13 - Tomorrow.
00:14 Meet me at the front entrance of the mall after school.
00:16 Like I remember Jesse and I going everywhere together
00:18 and just like people, people still come up to me
00:22 and ask me like, tell me about the gardener.
00:24 (laughs)
00:25 I'm like, Jesse's amazing.
00:27 - Eva ran into her amazing co-star in Las Vegas Monday,
00:31 Jesse sharing this sweet pic of them together
00:34 and writing over the snap,
00:35 "Nothing like running into an old friend.
00:37 "Love you, Eva Longoria."
00:40 Eva also shared the photo to which she simply added,
00:42 "Reunited in Vegas."
00:45 - John, we have bandages top shelf in the kitchen.
00:49 - Thanks, Mrs. Elise.
00:50 - Desperate Housewives debuted on ABC in 2004.
00:54 Jesse played the attractive teenage gardener, John Rowland,
00:57 who carried on an adulterous affair
00:59 with Eva's Gabrielle Solis.
01:01 Hi, how was school?
01:03 - Got an A minus on my biology exam.
01:04 - You did?
01:05 Well, let's see what you've learned.
01:08 The storylines are even more amazing
01:10 and even funnier and even darker.
01:12 For us, it's like, it's not old yet.
01:14 It's not old.
01:16 So we love to come back to work.
01:17 - There's no divas.
01:18 You know, you'd think with four gorgeous ladies
01:21 that at least one of them would be a diva,
01:23 but there's really no attitude.
01:24 You know, it's a really great cast
01:25 and it's just a pleasure to work with everybody.
01:27 It's a lot of fun.
01:28 - When ET spoke with Eva last year,
01:30 she dropped a big bombshell.
01:32 Jesse wasn't originally cast as the gardener.
01:36 - The original gardener was actually a younger kid
01:38 and he looked younger and they recast him
01:41 because they were like, he really looks 16.
01:43 Like, and then they recast Jesse Metcalf
01:46 and Jesse was 25 when he did the show.
01:48 He was 25 playing 16 and I was 27 playing 40.
01:53 You know what I mean?
01:54 So Jesse and I were actually the same age.
01:56 So we didn't feel weird,
01:58 but it was definitely much better chemistry
02:02 and better for the story that it was Jesse Metcalf.
02:06 And it was so iconic.
02:07 - Jesse was a series regular during the show's first season,
02:10 but his character made fewer appearances as it went on.
02:14 Meanwhile, Eva appeared on all eight seasons.
02:16 The series ended in 2012.
02:19 - I just remember pinching myself.
02:21 I remember reading the script and going,
02:22 well, this will never go
02:23 'cause it was so different and it was,
02:25 it wasn't a comedy and it wasn't a drama.
02:27 Nobody knew what we were.
02:29 And when we did the first table read,
02:33 it was like goosebumps because it was the entire cast
02:36 and it was the first time we all had met.
02:37 And immediately, Marcia, Felicity and I just went,
02:40 vroom, and we became this like unit
02:42 and we were like in it together.
02:44 I was just happy to be there.
02:45 - As far as getting all the ladies back for a reboot goes.
02:49 - I don't know where these ladies would be now
02:52 in their life.
02:52 I ask Mark Cherry all the time and he says no.
02:55 He feels like we fully explored these characters.
02:59 So we fully mind all the characters.
03:01 I could not sleep with one more person on that street.
03:04 Like I was like, I've slept with everybody.
03:05 You've slept with everybody.
03:06 We've exchanged husbands.
03:08 Like, it was like, what else,
03:10 what other stories could we possibly tell from these women?
03:13 - For now, fans will just have to appreciate
03:16 sweet reunions like these ones.
03:19 (cymbal crashing)
