00:00 You know we couldn't let an award show go by without getting into the fashion of it all.
00:06 And here to break down all the hottest looks and trends from last night's Golden Globes is fashion correspondent Amanda Garagas.
00:12 Hello Amanda.
00:13 So Barbie and you're wearing Barbie pink.
00:16 Barbie was the biggest movie of the year.
00:18 It was very fitting that we saw a ton of pink and gorgeous pink on the carpet last night.
00:21 What do you think?
00:23 I obviously love it.
00:25 I mean I love pink.
00:27 J.Lo loves pink and so we can start with her because her look was so incredible.
00:31 This is a designer, Nicole and Felicia, they're sisters.
00:34 We were talking about them backstage.
00:36 And they did so many of the looks for Taylor Swift on the Heiress tour.
00:40 So they sound like they've come out of nowhere but they've really been doing a lot of things.
00:43 This look is two pieces.
00:45 It's a mermaid dress.
00:46 It's a cape.
00:47 And I love these three dimensional flowers.
00:49 They're so voluminous.
00:50 They're so gorgeous.
00:52 J.Lo loves pink.
00:53 She loves jewelry which she's dripping in here.
00:56 She's killing it.
00:57 She's killing it, right?
00:58 Well we can't talk about Barbie pink without the woman who basically started the trend, Margot Robbie.
01:03 Yes, I love her here.
01:05 She's wearing -- so first of all, she's paying homage to the Barbies again.
01:08 So I'm sure you know all through her press tour she really like did what the Barbie dolls did.
01:12 This is 1977's Superstar Barbie.
01:14 We see them side to side here.
01:16 This look was created for her by Giorgio Armani.
01:18 It's full sequin.
01:19 It's so glamorous.
01:20 And then this really playful tulle stole.
01:23 How much do we love a boa?
01:24 I'm here for it.
01:25 I'm so here for it.
01:26 It actually didn't look as bright in person as it does in the red carpets and on camera,
01:31 which is it's even more fabulous the hotter pink.
01:33 I love that so much.
01:34 I absolutely love it.
01:35 So gorgeous.
01:36 A few slums also opted to go with the completely other end of the spectrum.
01:39 They went black, but it was like very special bold black.
01:43 Tell me all about it.
01:44 Yes, right.
01:45 So if you're going to do black on the red carpet, make it special.
01:47 So Scaffarelli, we're going to start there with Dua Lipa who wore this Scaffarelli dress.
01:52 Beautiful.
01:53 I love the way it's layered.
01:54 First of all, it's so, so like siren.
01:55 I absolutely love it.
01:56 And I say siren too because my first looked at this dress, I thought it was an homage
02:00 to like a string instrument.
02:01 It looked like maybe like a cello, but it's actually.
02:04 OK, so the designer had collaborated with Salvador Dali.
02:07 This is a lot of information for the fashion insiders.
02:09 And this is a designer from 1938.
02:12 And it's actually skeletons.
02:14 It's meant to be bones across the body of the dress.
02:16 Like a little hip hop.
02:17 Yeah, really voluminous, very hourglass.
02:19 And then the mermaid's skirt.
02:20 I mean, she looks absolutely stunning in it.
02:22 We love her.
02:23 We love her.
02:24 She wasn't the only one in black.
02:25 We had Hannah Waddingham.
02:26 OK, we have got to look at her.
02:28 Snatched.
02:29 I mean, right?
02:30 She was my favorite of the night.
02:31 Was she?
02:32 Yeah.
02:33 So she's wearing a designer not a lot of people know about, Suzanne and Neville.
02:36 And it's a London based designer that's really known for weddings.
02:39 But she commissioned her to do this piece.
02:41 A lot of sheer.
02:42 I mean, look at this body.
02:43 Yeah.
02:44 I really don't have anything else to say except she looks gorgeous.
02:46 No, she looks very real.
02:47 And she told me that Suzanne had like helped her out early in her career when no one would
02:51 dress her.
02:52 And so she wanted to pay it forward.
02:53 And that's why she commissioned that dress.
02:54 You got the insider scoop.
02:55 No, I'm listening.
02:56 I know nothing.
02:57 But she told me that.
02:58 Yes, you do.
02:59 Yes, you do.
03:00 We do have a Rosamund Pike.
03:01 We've got to just give a nod to her.
03:02 This is my favorite of the night.
03:03 We've got to look at Rosamund Pike.
03:04 She's here in Christian's York.
03:05 I absolutely love her.
03:06 We're just going to talk to her.
03:07 There's so many other people we want to talk about.
03:09 But she wore this veil by Philip Treacy because she had a ski injury.
03:12 But she kind of healed from it.
03:14 So then she went on to this.
03:15 No, she looks amazing.
03:16 She looks incredible.
03:17 Let's talk about the guys because the dudes really brought the flavor.
03:22 Yeah, we did.
03:23 Timothy Chalamet.
03:24 We're going to start with him and Celine.
03:25 This is how you do monochromatic.
03:26 He's wearing like a modified tuxedo, a sparkly jacket, and then this shirt unbuttoned.
03:31 He looks absolutely incredible.
03:32 So we paid to Pascal, though.
03:33 Can we give him a little bit of love?
03:34 Oh, I love that.
03:35 I love that.
03:36 We loved him.
03:37 He hurt his arm.
03:38 He talked about like, how did this happen?
03:39 We don't know.
03:40 He's in Bottega Veneta.
03:41 He said some people fall.
03:42 Yes, they do.
03:43 Probably running from me because I've been chasing him for a minute.
03:44 Yeah, you have.
03:45 I'm like, I'm the chicest sling I've ever seen.
03:47 Did anyone do bright?
03:48 Any of the men do bright?
03:49 Yeah, of course.
03:50 We saw Taylor Swift in bright.
03:51 Let's just go right to Taylor.
03:52 Yeah, she looked absolutely amazing in this custom Gucci.
03:55 The back of this dress is really where it's at.
03:57 I absolutely love it.
03:58 She's phenomenal.
03:59 I mean, she looked absolutely phenomenal in this dress.
04:01 She's wearing Christian Louboutin shoes.
04:02 Christian, who is actually at the award show as well.
04:05 Oh, cool.
04:06 Now, her bestie, also Selena Gomez, was also wearing bright colors.
04:10 Yes.
04:11 I love this dress.
04:12 A lot of people had a--
04:13 People were very opinionated.
04:15 I think she looks gorgeous.
04:17 I do, too.
04:18 And people thought it was a dress.
04:19 It's a top and a skirt.
04:20 Oh.
04:21 OK, so it's two pieces.
04:22 It's so sculptural.
04:23 She looks like a little porcelain doll.
04:25 I absolutely love her.
04:27 Florence Pugh, also wearing red.
04:29 And she's in Valentino.
04:30 I absolutely love it.
04:31 But it's really kind of all about the hair, right?
04:33 This faux hawk.
04:34 How gorgeous is that?
04:35 Let's talk about Oprah because she was the woman everybody was looking for last night.
04:39 Yes, she really was.
04:40 And she wore Louis Vuitton.
04:41 Which is like this super trendy-- I love this brand.
04:44 She talked about having gone to the show in the spring.
04:46 And so they circled back to her.
04:48 Of course they did because it's Oprah.
04:49 So they circled back to Oprah.
04:50 And they asked if they could dress her.
04:52 She loved this dress.
04:53 They put this custom for her.
04:54 Of course, it's long sleeve because she loves a sleeve.
04:56 And she wanted to stay warm on the carpet.
04:58 I love this.
04:59 I love this.
05:00 The color purple.
05:01 It's Oprah's world.
05:02 Yes.
05:03 And we're just living in it.
05:04 We've been living in it for a minute.
05:05 We're so excited.
05:06 I loved Helen Mirren in purple as well.
05:08 Thank you for talking to us.
05:09 I love her in this.
05:10 Some called it lilac purple.
05:11 Whatever the cue, it's absolutely beautiful.
05:13 It's Dolce and Gabbana.
05:14 Again, with the two pieces because it was cold on that carpet.
05:17 Yes, it was hot.
05:18 And she also looked absolutely glamorous.
05:20 And then I don't know if we can pop over to you, Sue.
05:22 Oh, you know what?
05:23 There's so much fashion.
05:24 There's so much.
05:25 You need to come back.
05:26 You need to come back in.
05:27 And it's just the start of awards season.
05:28 So we will get much more fashion this season.
05:30 Thank you so much for joining us.
05:31 Thank you for having me.
